(Scroll down for video) A doctor was arrested, charged and convicted of voyeurism after secretly recording thousands of patients on video, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.
Dr. Lam Hoe Yeoh, 61, of Banstead, Surrey, pleaded guilty to 7 counts of voyeurism, six counts of making indecent images of a child and possession of extreme pornography as part of a plea bargain agreement with prosecutors.
The Croydon Crown Court heard that the doctor recorded more than 1,000 people. A judge sentenced the doctor to five years in prison.
According to the police investigation, the doctor used camera pens and watches to record patients and colleagues in numerous places around the country, including the Portland Hospital in London, medical facilities in Exeter, Sutton, and Thames Ditton in Surrey.
Yeoh also placed cameras in toilets at a clinic in Nottingham, on trains and at home during social events. Two women found recording devices in a toilet and reported the matter to police.
The court was told that several children between 3 and 14 years old were recorded on video. His wife, 57-year-old Ivy Muihong Sng, was also charged with voyeurism, but her charge was dropped.
