(Scroll down for video) A family in Texas, is grieving the loss of their teenage son, who was brutally killed by an armed robber.
Duncanville Police said that they have arrested a teenager following the recent fatal shooting of the 15-year-old boy.
19-year-old Tyler Geraud Wiley allegedly admitted to shooting Ryan Lara, who was undergoing treatment for lymphoma.
Wiley is being held in the Dallas County Jail on bail of $1 million. Police said that they received a tip, which led them to Wiley.
The teen was outside his home as he was moving his father’s SUV from the street to their driveway when the suspect attempted to steal the vehicle.
However, when the teen fled and tried to get into his house, the gunman shot him in the back three times. Lara fell to the ground and died of his wounds.
Family members ran out of the house, and saw a four-door compact gray or silver car leave their property.
According to police, Wiley showed no remorse and admitted that he picked the boy at random. He is believed to be a member of a gang, and police said that he also confessed to two more armed robberies in Dallas.
Wiley told police that he was in the vehicle with four other suspects. Police are now looking for those other suspects.
