(Scroll down for video) A teen boy who works at a hall, was head-butted by a wedding guest for warning him to leave the premises with alcoholic beverages, police in Canada said.
Investigators with the York Regional Police District Criminal Investigations Bureau have released surveillance video and are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect wanted in connection with the assault, which occurred in Vaughan.
On Saturday, the 14-year-old boy was working at the banquet hall, during a large wedding reception.
Approximately 12:15 a.m., the employee walked outside the front doors and asked a group of wedding guests to return inside the building with their alcohol.
After making the request, the employee was assaulted by one of the guests, who struck the victim with a head butt. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital. The suspect left the scene before police arrived.
The suspect was described as a white male, about 30 years old, 6 feet tall, thin build with short dark hair. The actual assault took place at the front door of the banquet hall.
Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have been at the event and hasn’t spoken to police.
