A man who was arrested on charges of bank robbery, told police that he gambled away his entire monthly salary at a casino, police in Pennsylvania said.
Avoca Police said that the suspect, a supermarket butcher, was arrested after telling police that he robbed the bank after blowing his paycheck.
46-year-old Michael McDonough of White Haven, was arrested on Saturday, after an informant identified him as the suspect who robbed a PNC Bank branch on Friday.
Police determined that McDonough was paid that morning, collected his check at work, then lost everything in the casino at the Mohegan Sun in Pocono Downs.
McDonough told police that he drove for hours thinking of ways to get more money before robbing the bank. Then he told police he used the money to play at Mount Airy Casino.
