(Scroll down for video) A couple found a cheap and unique “wedding venue” to exchange their vows.
Hector Irakliotis and Tatyana Sandler, decided to get married on the N train, where they had some of the most significant moments of their relationship.
Irakliotis surprised passengers when he announced that he will be getting married on the train.
Irakliotis, 26, and Sandler, 25, exchanged vows in formal wedding attire on Friday, while crossing the Manhattan Bridge from Brooklyn.
Irakliotis boarded the train with his groomsmen around 3:30 p.m. at the Kings Highway stop, and told all passengers “I’ll be getting married in 20 minutes, here on the train.”
The bride, her maid of honor and other family members boarded the train at the 36th street stop. She was dressed in a gown and was holding flowers.
The couple exchanged vows before an Interfaith Chaplain, while crossing the Manhattan Bridge. The wedding guests left the train at the Canal Street station and went to a bar for their reception.
Sandler, who moved to New York from Ukraine, said that Irakliotis planned the perfect wedding. She also said that she loves the Manhattan skyline and therefore, it was the perfect place to get married.
