A church employee, his wife and daughter were arrested after a newborn baby boy was killed, police in the United Kingdom said.
The man and his daughter, were also accused of sex crimes.
Now, detectives investigating the death of the baby in the village of Lancashire, Freckleton, said that the vicar and his daughter are no longer being suspected of sex crimes.
64-year-old Rev Jim Percival, the vicar of the Holy Trinity CE Church, was arrested earlier this week along with his 65-year-old wife Susan, and his 28-year-old daughter Ruth.
Ruth gave birth to the baby boy earlier this week.
Percival and his daughter are being questioned on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to conceal the birth of a child. His wife Susan, also remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of concealing the birth of a child.
Following the death of the baby boy, Rev Percival disappeared, leaving a suicide note in which he outlined what hymns and scripture readings he wanted at his funeral.
The vicar is highly respected in the village, and when he reappeared on Tuesday, police swooped in and arrested the family.
