(Scroll down for video) A man of Gonzales, Louisiana, grabbed a woman from her own and attempted to kidnap her.
The woman was unloading bags from her car after a shopping trip on Sunday night, when the man stopped in the driveway and grabbed her.
The woman dragged herself towards her home while 46-year-old Chad Babin, tried to take her with him.
The woman managed to open the door and began screaming. Her husband, who was sleeping inside, woke up and grabbed his gun.
The husband pointed his gun at Babin, and told him to let go of his wife. Babin refused to let go and told the woman “you’re coming with me.”
The husband grabbed the intruder and body slammed him to the ground. At that point, the couple’s two sons entered the home, grabbed their own guns and warned Babin to cooperate.
When he refused, one of the sons pistol whipped him. “At that point he realized that there were three guns pointed at his head,” the husband said.
When the police arrived, they took Babin to a local hospital to treat his injuries. After being discharged, Babin was taken to Ascension Parish Jail, where he was charged with simple battery, simple criminal damage to property, home invasion and simple kidnapping.
The police are not sure why Babin targeted this woman as they have never met before. Babin lives in St. Amant, about eight miles from where the attack occurred. Police said that Babin might have been on drugs at the time of the incident.
