(Scroll down for video) A man who uses a cat as his service animal, caused a disturbance at McDonald’s, during which pepper spray was used, police in Washington said.
Seattle Police said that the incident began when 42-year-old Joseph Malloy, entered the McDonald’s, with what he calls his service cat.
The cat, Tommy Girl, was on a leash. The man was told to leave because he had caused problems in the past. When he refused, an argument broke out and pepper spray was used.
No one was arrested, police who responded to the scene said. At least one person was taken to a hospital, and one employee was treated at the scene.
Employees of the McDonald’s located on Third Avenue and Pine Street, said that the man had been banned from the store for bad behavior, which was unrelated to his cat.
The man claims that his pet is not being recognized as a service animal by McDonald’s.
