A man and a woman of Massachusetts, purchased a gun at Walmart, before the man returned to the store, threatened an employee with the gun and made off with nearly $9,000.

25-year-old Molly K. McKeen of 6 Knox Street, and 37-year-old Cortez D. Palmer of 68 Merrick Street, allegedly entered a Walmart in Oxford, and made several purchases, including a pellet gun.

Surveillance video shows McKeen using a credit card to make purchases.

The two left the store, but Palmer returned with a black handgun, which authorities believe was the pellet gun he just purchased.

Palmer is accused of approaching the customer service desk and telling a clerk to look down. He showed the clerk his gun and demanded cash.

He left with $8,681, police said. McKeen has been charged with armed robbery.

Palmer faces several charges of unarmed robbery and one count of armed robbery in connection with numerous robberies in Worcester and other towns in the area.

Worcester Police said six robberies were linked to one or both suspects. Palmer allegedly robbed several supermarkets, a Walmart and a Dunkin’ Donuts.

Police believe that the couple is behind robberies in Millbury, Auburn and Shrewsbury.
