A man will never be able to hurt a child again after he was sentenced to life in prison for molesting a child.
59-year-old Herman Altheus Jacks of Jacksonville, Florida, was sentenced on Monday, to life in prison.
He was found guilty of one count of lewd or lascivious molestation. Jacks was convicted of this charge earlier this month, and was now sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
The victim, who is now 17-years-old, told police that Jacks had touched her inappropriately. The investigation revealed that the abuse took place when the victim was just 10 years old.
This is not the first time that Jacks has been in trouble. In 2002, he was ordered to register as a sex offender after being convicted on a charge of lewd or lascivious battery.
