(Scroll down for video) A man with Down syndrome, who refused to leave a theater after watching a movie, was killed by police, prosecutors in Maryland said.
Now, a Frederick County Grand announced that they will not indict the police officer who killed 26-year-old Robert Ethan Saylor.
According to the police investigation, Saylor verbally and physically resisted officers’ attempts to get him out of the theater, and because of his large size, officers said that they had to use three pairs of handcuffs on him.
When he showed signs of distress, officers began administering CPR and other first aid. However, the Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore, said that Saylor’s death was a homicide as a result of asphyxiation.
The incident unfolded when police arrived at the movie theater, where Saylor refused to leave because he wanted to see “Zero Dark Thirty” for a second time.
