A pregnant woman is devastated over the loss of her boyfriend.
Rachel Symington and her boyfriend Murray D’Angelo of Scotland, were preparing for the birth of the first child.
The couple was supposed to move into a new home before the birth of their daughter. However, their dreams were shattered when D’Angelo died in a car accident.
D’Angelo, 28, was traveling in a taxi with two other passengers when he ran out of the vehicle on highway M8 on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
He was struck by two passing cars around 6:15 a.m. on Saturday.
Emergency services were called, but D’Angelo was pronounced dead at the scene. The busy highway was closed for about 10 hours, as police carried out their investigation.
The two other passengers escaped, leading police on a manhunt. A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection to the incident.
