Woman downloads child pornography on home computer to frame her estranged husband

A woman was jailed after she attempted to have her estranged husband arrested for child pornography.

The woman of Pennsylvania, downloaded child pornography on the family’s home computer in a failed attempt to get her husband arrested, State Police said.

Meri Jane Woods, 42, was ordered to spend between six months to two years in county jail for trying to frame her estranged husband.

Woods went to police, and said that her former husband sexually abused her children. She also claimed that he had downloaded child pornography on their home computer.

Woods of Cherry Hill Township, showed investigators the computer, which contained the illegal photos, and claim that her husband downloaded it.

During the investigation, officers found that the lewd files on the computer were downloaded just three days before Woods went to the police.

They also learned that Woods had kicked out her husband of their home four weeks before the files were downloaded by serving him with a protection order.

Woods was charged with one count of felony sexual abuse of children by having a computer with graphic images on it. She also was hit with 40 counts of lying about the abuse and framing her husband.
