(Scroll down for video) A teenager was shot dead while defending his twin brother during a robbery.
The teenage boys of Chicago, Illinois, were three days shy of their 16th birthday when the tragedy struck.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon, when identical twins Demario and Demacio Bailey, walked to a basketball match at their school in the Englewood neighborhood.
4 teenagers approached them and demanded they hand over their belongings.
One of the teens jumped on Demacio, and he fell to the ground. Demario tried to get the robber off his brother. That is when one of the assailants pulled a gun and fired.
Demacio managed to escape, but returned to find his brother had been shot in the chest and died of his injuries.
Police arrested 17-year-old Carlos Johnson. He was charged with first-degree murder. He will be tried as an adult.
He was also charged with robbery with a firearm and attempted robbery with a firearm. He is being held without bail.
Two other 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were also charged with his murder.
