A woman was arrested for theft after using a stolen credit card to bail out an inmate from jail.
The woman of Florida, faces criminal charges after allegedly using the stolen credit card.
The incident unfolded when Elouise White, 61, of Nokomis, was trying to bail someone out of jail.
White was charged with grand theft and fraudulent use of a credit card, according to the Venice Police Department.
Police received a report at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, that a wallet had been stolen from the Moose Club, which is located at 111 North Auburn Road.
The victim checked her bank account and learned that her card had already been used. Police discovered a charge of $800 – which was used to bail out someone from jail.
White was arrested at her home in Nokomis. She was released from the Sarasota County Jail after posting bail of $1,500.
