A woman who called police for help during a domestic dispute, threw a pot of soup at the officer who arrived at her door, police in Florida said.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said that 29-year-old Karine Pierre Louis, assaulted two officers when they appeared at her door in the 7400 block of Northwest 76th Street.
She is charged with two counts of assault on a peace officer and misusing the police emergency phone system.
According to the police investigation, Louis called police during a verbal domestic incident, and two uniformed officers appeared at her home around 6:20 p.m.
When one of the officers knocked on the door, Louis opened and said: “I need help.” Suddenly, she swung a pot of soup at the officers.
The pot hit one officer in the face, authorities said. The two officers handcuffed the woman, who kicked them as she was escorted to the police station.
Louis was booked into jail, where she was being held on $11,100 bail.
