A woman was arrested on charges of assault after beating her sister for accusing her of stealing cash from her drawer, police in Nigeria said.

The Lagos Police Department said that they arrested 29-year-old Kelechi Okafor, after being accused of ripping her sister’s clothes.

Okafor of Ifelodun Street, was charged with theft, assault and breach of peace. Okafor was brought before the Apapa Magistrate’s Court, where she pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Her bail was set at N10,000 ($54). If convicted, the suspect faces up to three years in prison.

The victim told investigators that she keeps N10,000 ($54) in her drawer, but surprisingly, on the day of the assault, the money was not there.

She asked her sister about the money since she was the only person to know about it. To her surprise, her sister began to beat her, and she ripped her dress.
