A man was arrested on charges of theft after allegedly stealing ornaments from a cemetery, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.
The man has been charged with ten counts of theft and one count of fraud after the ornaments were stolen from memorials at Bushbury Crematorium.
47-year-old Dennis Palmer was arrested after attempting to sell the stolen ornaments while stating that they belonged to him.
The suspect of Victoria Road, Park Village, appeared before the Wolverhampton Magistrate’s Court, where he was released on bail.
PC Paul Johnson from the Low Hill Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We fully understand the impact these thefts have had on the local community, and I would like to thank all those who came forward to identify suspected stolen items following a recent appeal in the media.”
