(Scroll down for video) Police are looking to arrest and charge a man with assault after punching an elderly man in the head for sneezing in his face, police in New York said.
Now, the New York Police Department (NYPD) is urging the public to help identify the suspect who allegedly assaulted the 68-year-old man in a Queens subway station.
According to the police investigation, the incident occurred at 6:30 p.m. at Roosevelt Avenue subway station. The elderly man got into a verbal dispute with the suspect, who was also traveling on the train.
According to witnesses at the scene, the dispute began after the elderly man sneezed near the suspect. At some point, the suspect struck the victim in the head.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction, and the victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was said to be in stable condition.
Police describe the suspect as 30 years old, about 6 feet tall, wearing a waist length jacket and sunglasses. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call the NYPD.
