A man was charged with attempted murder after shooting arrows into his father-in-law’s home, police in Australia said.

The Melbourne Police Department said that they arrested 43-year-old Becir Sabedinovski, after being accused of shooting eight arrows into his father-in-law’s home in an alleged attack that left the elderly man severely injured.

According to the police investigation, the suspect’s 70-year-old father-in-law was shot in the abdomen by one of the arrows early on Sunday morning.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery and is in critical condition.

Sabedinovski was brought before the Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on Monday, where he was charged with attempted murder.

He was also charged with intentionally causing serious injury and recklessly engaging in conduct that put someone in danger of death.

During a search of the suspect’s home, police found a marijuana growing operation. The suspect is currently being treated for depression.
