A teenager of Florida, will never be a free man again after he was sentenced to two life terms in prison for raping a teenage girl.
The 19-year-old man of Jacksonville, who was found guilty of drugging and raping the teenage girl, could spend the rest of his life in prison.
Vernord Lavon Bright was sentenced on Tuesday, to two consecutive terms of life in prison. Bright was also registered as a sexual predator.
About 6 months ago, Bright drugged the 17-year-old girl and had sex with her while she was unconscious. As the victim woke up, she found the defendant laying on top of her and having sex with her.
The defendant then held the victim at gunpoint while he continued the attack on her. The victim managed to escape as he reached for the gun again. She then ran to a stranger’s home, where she contacted the police.
