A police department in Australia, was left red-faced after photos of naked women were posted on its Twitter account, according to photos uploaded to the Internet.

ACT Police have quickly removed the offensive tweets from their Twitter account once the department was made aware of the situation.

For some reason, tweets from Twitter user Katie Sanders, which included several naked photos of women, showed up in the department’s main news feed.

One of her tweets said: “One good thing about these winter boots,” which included three pictures of a naked woman wearing a pair of black boots.

This caused some confusion among the ACT Police Twitter followers. Police later removed the nude photos from their feed and apologized.

“Thanks to those who brought the undesirable tweets to our attention,” the police department said in a statement.

“We are not sure how the tweets ended up on our feed, but they are deleted now and our account is secure,” the police department also said.

There were more Twitter posts by Katie Sanders, containing nude photos, on the favorites section of the ACT Police Twitter account.

They have also been deleted.
