A man who was arrested and jailed for robbery, decided to get revenge and kill a retired judge, police in Nigeria said.
Ogun State Police said that a housekeeper, identified as David, beheaded his employer, 65-year-old Olufunmilayo Timeyin.
According to the police investigation, the retired judge hired David about two months ago. However, after a few days at his new job, David of Benue, was fired and arrested by police after he allegedly stole jewelry, mobile phones and some electronic equipment from the judge’s home.
When David was released from jail, he returned to the judge’s house, disabled the security system, scaled a fence and gained access to the home armed with machete. David beheaded the judge and fled from the scene before police arrived.
The suspect was tracked down and arrested. He was brought before a magistrate's court judge for a bail hearing, where he was remanded into custody.
