(Scroll down for video) Magen David Adom Israel has offered to help Turkey with the rescue effort of hundreds of injured miners.
On Wednesday, a mine explosion killed at least 238 and left more than 200 trapped.
Magen David Adom reached out, offering help in the rescue and the treatment of those injured in the mine.
A spokesperson for Magen David Adom said that the organization is willing to provide labor, equipment and medical knowledge that could greatly increase the chances of saving lives and end the crisis.
787 people were inside the coal mine in Soma, about 250 kilometers (155 miles) south of Istanbul, at the time of the explosion.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared three days of national mourning and ordered flags to be lowered to half-mast. Erdogan postponed a one-day visit to Albania and planned to visit Soma.
Fifty-seven people were confirmed injured. The explosion ripped through the mine as workers were preparing for a shift change, which likely increased the number of victims because more miners were inside the mine.
