Israeli missile seen on video slamming into global jihadist terrorist who fired rockets at Israeli civilians

Mahmed Awwar on fire

(Scroll down for video) The Israel Air Force eliminated a global jihadist terrorist, who was responsible for shooting rockets at Israeli civilians, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The operation was carried out by the Israel Defense Forces and the National Security Agency in the northern Gaza Strip.

33-year-old Mahmed Awwar of Beit Lahia, has been responsible for many rocket attacks against Israel over the past few years, and especially during the past month.

Awwar was employed as a police officer for Hamas in Gaza. Awwar carried out the rocket attack against the city of Sderot and the communities in southern Israel during the last Passover holiday.

The terror infrastructure is a violent and extremist Salafi cell, which has carried out several rocket attacks and has attempted to implement diverse terror attacks against Israel as well as attempts to target a helicopter, security officials said.

The preemptive strike was intended to prevent Awwar from executing further attacks he had planned against Israel. IDF Spokesperson Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said: “Since January, over 200 rockets were launched from Gaza at Israel, indicating a significant increase compared with the previous year, during which over 100 rockets were launched. This operation, conducted following intense efforts and precise preparations, is a part of the ongoing IDF efforts aimed to diminish terror elements in the strip, and maintain security for the civilians of the State of Israel.”

Relating to the successful operation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "Our policy is clear - kill those who rise up to kill us. The IDF and the Shabak carried out a precise operation and will continue to take strong action against all those who try to attack the security of Israel's citizens. This is the true face of Hamas, it is continuing to plan terrorist attacks against Israeli citizens even as it sits inside the Palestinian government. I would like to remind the international community that Abu Mazen - on the day he formed a government with the Hamas terrorist organization - promised to honor all previous agreements. This means that he is responsible for disarming Hamas and the other terrorist organizations in Gaza."

The Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, is currently in Rwanda, to forge closer business ties between the two countries, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

As part of his tour to strengthen ties with Africa, Lieberman inaugurated the Rwanda-Israel Center of Excellence for Horticultural Development along with Rwandan Minister of Agriculture Agnes Kalibata.

Lieberman opened the Israel-Rwanda joint economic seminar with the participation of 200 business people. Afterwards, he met with President Paul Kagame, and with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Louise Mushikiwabo, with whom he signed a memorandum of understanding to upgrade relations between the two countries.

The Center of Excellence for Horticultural Development was established by MASHAV (Hebrew acronym for Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation) following a request made by the Minister of Agriculture of Rwanda to set up a special center for advanced horticulture designed for all levels of the farming community, from smallholder farmers to commercial farmers.

The design and implementation of the project were carried out by CINADCO, MASHAV’s main professional and operational affiliate for international agricultural rural development cooperation. The center is based on the Indo-Israel model of “Centers of Excellence in Agriculture,’’ and includes production of 4 main products, transfer of knowledge, capacity building and demonstration, agro-inputs (nurseries for better seedlings and varieties) and fresh produce.

The center will display a wide range of technologies for horticultural productions, and will be made available for applied research and development, training and exhibition. Lieberman also placed a wreath at a memorial to the victims of the Rwandan genocide.

Lieberman and the accompanying Israeli delegation will continue the official visit in Cote d'Ivoire where Prime Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan will inaugurate a palm oil production plant partly owned by an Israeli company.

Lieberman's visit to Rwanda is part of a 10-day "strategic visit" to Rwanda, the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Ethiopia and Kenya. Lieberman is accompanied by a delegation from the Israel Export Institute that will include representatives from some 50 Israeli companies, with the goal of developing the economic ties between Israel and those countries.

Lieberman will meet with the presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers and other ministers of the countries he will be visiting, and will hold collaborative financial-business seminars.

Prior to the visit, FM Lieberman stated: "I see great importance to investment in Africa, in the humanitarian, economic and political spheres. There are many areas where Israel can help with aid and development: Agriculture, water management, medicine, and more. We have established partnerships with various countries for investment in Africa, including the United States, Canada, and Italy, and the highlight is the African Initiative, a joint project with Germany that was decided upon during the last meeting of the Israeli and German governments.”

"The relationship with African countries is of prime strategic importance for the State of Israel, from the security, diplomatic and economic standpoints as well as on many other levels. At the beginning of the term of the previous government, I visited Africa - the first time in many years that an Israeli foreign minister visited the region - and since then, we have seen the positive outcome that has resulted in the strengthening of cooperation in fields that are important to both Israel and the African countries. I will continue to strengthen these ties and extend them to other countries and issues. Africa plays an important role in Israeli foreign policy, and we will make a diplomatic effort to ensure that Israel will be accepted in the coming year as an observer in the African Union."

United Nations launches exhibition showing the Jewish connection to Israel

The opening of the exhibit
By: Aryeh Savir

The United Nations launched an exhibition that shows the Jewish connection to Israel, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) launched the exhibition at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France.

An overflowing crowd of hundreds of community activists, diplomats and religious leaders watched as Irina Bokova, UNESCO's Director General, joined with official cosponsors Israel, Canada, the United States, and Montenegro, at the unveiling ceremony.

The exhibition: "People, Book, Land: The 3500 Year Relationship of the Jewish People with the Holy Land," tells the history of the Jewish People in the Middle East, from the biblical patriarch Abraham to the present-day State of Israel.

It shows the uninterrupted presence of Jews in the Land of Israel for nearly 3,500 years, and the fidelity of Jews to their original homeland through centuries of persecution both in Israel and abroad.

The exhibition content was authored by Jerusalem Hebrew University Prof. Robert Wistrich, on behalf of the Wiesenthal Center. Prof. Robert Wistrich wrote the texts and worked directly with the designers on the visual accompaniment that made up the exhibition. Wistrich is a Professor of Jewish History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Head of its Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Anti-Semitism, and the author of numerous books.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibit, Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, stated: "After the sudden cancellation of the exhibition in January, many observers believed that this pivotal piece of history would never appear at the United Nations. However, they were proven wrong. This is truly a historic occasion because it is the first time in the history of the United Nations that the agency has co-sponsored an exhibit, which outlines the historic U.N. decision to recognize a Jewish homeland in Palestine in 1947, the indisputable fact that the Jewish people have an uninterrupted 3,500-year relationship with the Holy Land.”

Presenting the truth about Jewish ties to the Land of Israel is not harmful to peace, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. “Negotiations are based on facts, on the truth, which is never harmful,” Netanyahu told his cabinet at a weekly meeting.

(Scroll down for video) A model was seen dancing with sharks in the ocean, a video uploaded to the Internet showed.

Some women dream of swimming with dolphins, but 38-year-old Hannah Fraser, took the deep plunge and swam with the sharks.

The model was wearing only a bikini and body paint as she danced with the world's deadliest sharks in the Bahamas. She even touched their heads and fins, despite the fact that the sharks could kill her with just one bite.

However, the sharks seemed very happy to share the water with the woman. The dance was created to draw attention to the plight of sharks, which are threatened by fishing.

They are also being killed after attacking swimmers in Australia.

Fraser, who lives in Los Angeles, California, said: “I was very anxious the first time I got into the water with the sharks. The most important aspect of this was to find out how their minds worked, find out what caused them to use their mouths and teeth. I learned to play them right. I found out that they loved being tickled on the nose.”

Washington parents are angry after a school worker took away a child’s lunch and threw it in the garbage because he was a few cents short.

The incident unfolded at the Mill Creek Middle School.

Jimmie Keys said that his son was humiliated after it happened twice. Kent schools serve 19,000 meals a day in a district with 28,000 students.

Each meal costs 40 cents, and many students pay through a food bill, which is similar to a debit card. Parents can use their credit or debit card to load money into the accounts.

The day of the incident, the son of Keys had only 14 cents left in his account. School district spokesperson Chris Loftis said that the incident was a terrible mistake that should not have happened.

The school is required to give students, who cannot afford lunch, free food like yogurt or cereal. That did not happen.

Parents must also be notified when an account is short of food or about to be. Keys said that he never received a notification.

Keys also said that he is glad the district has apologized and plans to take steps to prevent this from happening again to his son or any other student.

“When the cat had been removed, it sat looking at the car as if it wanted to get back in. The cat was beautiful and looked very happy in the car,” officer Walker said.

Painter gets his private parts stuck in pipe for two days after painting in the nude

Firefighters working on Lian Tien
By: Hydar Tomar

A painter suffered for two days because he was too embarrassed to call rescue workers when his private parts became stuck in a pipe, rescue workers in China said.

Lian Tien of Quanzhou City, told firefighters who arrived at the scene, that he was painting in the nude and slipped into the pipe.

The 61-year-old man managed to stick his private parts into a pipe used to carry water from an air conditioning unit. He stayed there two days, until he developed a fever and called a doctor, who suggested that he immediately alert the local fire department.

A doctor at the scene said that the man’s private parts had swollen and there was nothing left to do but to cut open the pipe. It took firefighters four hours to cut the pipe around the patient's genitals.

“It was hot, so I was painting the wall in the nude. At one point, I slipped on the floor, causing my private parts to fall into the air condition pipe. I thought no one would believe me, and I tried everything I could think of to get the thing off of me. I cut the wall and tried to pour oil and liquid soap on the sides, but nothing helped,” Tien said.

“I went to sleep thinking that if I relaxed, it would slip out. It did not. Then it became red and inflamed. I was worried that I would get a terrible infection,” Tien added.

Mother granted asylum in Canada after being sentenced to prison for having sex with teen boy in the United States

Denise Harvey insert
By: Hydar Tomar

(Scroll down for video) A Florida woman avoided going to jail by fleeing to Canada.

47-year-old Denise Harvey, was convicted of having sex with her friend's 16-year-old boy. She was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

However, she avoided jail by fleeing to Canada. She was granted asylum, officials said.

In Canada, Harvey argued that her 30 year prison sentence was “cruel and unusual punishment,” and sought refugee status so that she can legally stay in the country.

Canadian authorities initially tried to extradite her to the United States, but the nation’s Immigration and Refugee Board approved her request to stay in Canada.

Harvey was convicted of five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor for having sex with the teenage boy, who was on the baseball team with her own son, authorities said.

She first met the teenager in team practices and allegedly had sex with him five times. Some of the sexual encounters allegedly took place at the house of the boy’s father.

Harvey, who maintains her innocence, fled her home in Vero Beach with her husband and son, and moved to Pike Lake, Saskatchewan.

The Immigration and Refugee Board granted Harvey asylum, saying there was no evidence that the sex was not consensual and that it was only illegal because of the age difference, according to federal court documents.

It is illegal in Florida for anyone over 24 to have sex with someone under 16, but in Canada, the age of consent is 16, or 18 if the defendant is in a position of authority.

The Board agreed that the punishment is cruel and unusual in regards to Canadian and international standards.

Police in China, began investigating the crime scene as a hit and run accident after a body was found laying in middle of the road.

However, his plot was uncovered when it was determined that the blood and bones at the accident scene were that of a dog, and not from a human.

Officers in Rizhao, Shandong Province, arrested the man for trying to fake his death by the setting up the crime scene to look like a hit and run accident using a dog carcass dressed in his own clothes.

The suspect, Li Hui, allegedly told authorities that he hatched the plan so he could leave his family and start a new life with his lover.

He told police that he bought a dead dog, cut it up and placed his clothes over the parts so that his family would think he was killed.

Juxian County Police found his sedan on a road nearby. Parts of the dog, blood and clothes were scattered on the road, giving the appearance that Hui had been hit by a car and the driver fled the scene.

Police traced the car to Hui, and the DNA tests indicated that the remains were indeed those of a dog. Hui was arrested a few days later in Jinan. Officials found that he had opened a new bank account as well.

Woman talks about her sexual relationship with a dolphin

(Scroll down for video) A woman learned how to satisfy her dolphin sexually.

In the 1960s, Margaret Howe worked for Dr John C. Lilly, a neurologist who tried to teach a six-year-old dolphin to speak English.

His 23-year-old assistant, Howe, who lived on the Virgin Islands, took care of the dolphin day and night. She fed it, bathed it, slept and played together in complete isolation.

The dolphin, named Peter, apparently fell in love with her, according to the BBC documentary called: “The Girl Who Talked with Dolphins.”

The dolphin would often rub itself against Howe’s hands and knees, and at one point injured her. Howe said that when the dolphin became a bit more aggressive she placed it with female dolphins.

However, the dolphin allegedly took a liking to Howe, so she decided to satisfy the dolphin sexually.

U.S. Author Malcolm Brenner wrote a book called: “Wet Goddess,” based on her nine-month sexual relationship with the dolphin in the Floridaland amusement park in 1970.

Interestingly enough, some studies have found evidence that male dolphins are attracted to women, because they give off similar pheromones to female dolphins.
