Israel Defense Forces arrest top Hamas leaders as search for 3 kidnapped yeshiva students continues

Israeli soldiers arrested several top Hamas leaders in the West Bank, as the search for three kidnapped yeshiva students continues, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The IDF is continuing its extensive search to locate the three yeshiva students abducted by Hamas terrorists last Thursday.

Some 40 terrorists were arrested in overnight raids, including the 66-year-old former speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Aziz Duwaik.

He was caught in his home in Hebron.

Duwaik is next in line to replace Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as acting president of the Palestinian Unity Government (PUG) in case of an emergency. After the abduction of IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, Duwaik was arrested and spent three years in an Israeli prison. He was arrested again at least once after his release.

In total, some 150 Arab terrorists were arrested since the beginning of Operation “Bring Back our Boys.”

In an operation in Hebron that has been crowned as a substantial breakthrough, an elite police unit surrounded a home with the intent of arresting the inhabitants. A gunfight broke out, during which the security forces used a special mini-projectile to breach the door. Two high-level Hamas terrorists were arrested at the conclusion of the battle.

Further military operations were conducted in Ramallah and Shechem. One Palestinian was killed by IDF fire during the searches, apparently after attacking the soldiers.

"We are looking ahead at increasing the activity against Hamas, with an emphasis on the Hebron area, but this activity originates in northern Samaria. The closure in the southern Judea area continues," a senior military official said. Among other things, Israel plans to shut down various institutions linked to Hamas, and to prevent the transfer of funds.

Security forces are expected to exert further pressure on the terrorist infrastructure throughout Judea and Samaria, with the primary objective of locating the boys while eradicating the existing network, preventing a recurrence of such devastating terror attacks.

The wife of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, is currently in Israel after undergoing knee replacement surgery at a top Tel Aviv hospital, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

On Sunday, Amina Abbas, was recovering after undergoing the knee transplant surgery.

Amina Abbas was in the Assuta Hospital, considered one of the best in Israel.

She has been hospitalized since last Thursday, and on Friday she underwent the leg operation. She was staying in a private room in the hospital's orthopedic wing with no roommates.

Security guards were on duty 24 hours a day, with no one except for doctors and nurses allowed to enter.

The news of the hospitalization comes as Israeli forces are conducting an intensive search for three abducted Israeli teens: Eyal Yifrah, 19, Naftali Frankel, 16, and 16-year-old Gilad Sha'ar. According to a hospital source, officials have not even listed her name on the roster of patients, instead using a pseudonym.

“No one here has any idea who she is, and questions about the heavy security by patients and visitors are ignored,” the source said.

Another source indicated that after the news of her hospitalization was published, she was spirited away to a different location. Assuta officials refused to comment.

Former Knesset member Michael Ben-Ari, condemned the treatment and urged officials to place Amina Abbas in a cold dark cell similar to where the three kidnapped Israeli boys are currently being held.

(Scroll down for video) A White House petition was launched that demands U.S. action to help free three yeshiva students kidnapped by Hamas in the West Bank, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

On a quiet street in the rural community of Nof Ayalon, located in central Israel's Ayalon Valley, members of the press stand outside the home of Racheli and Avi Frankel.

The parents of the missing Israeli teen, Naftali Frankel, who was abducted with two other classmates by Palestinian terrorists last Thursday night, in Gush Etzion, were unknown to the Israeli public just last week.

Giving her first statement to the press on Sunday morning, Racheli Frankel described the gratitude that she and her family have for all those trying to bring 16-year-old Naftali home.

“All the work that is being done by the Israeli security forces, the support of the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv, and the waves of prayers and support, we just request that this continues,” said Frankel.

Naftali’s aunt, Ittael Frankel told the Tazpit News Agency that “these are very hard days. We are very optimistic. We know that everyone is doing everything they can to bring Naftali and the other two boys, Gilad and Eyal, home.”

“We really believe that with all this help and all the prayers, we hope to see them home soon,” Frankel told the Tazpit News Agency.

“Naftali is an amazing kid. He’s really sweet - a combination of a serious kid and a fun kid. The 16-year-old student, who studied in a highly regarded yeshiva, Makor Chaim, in Gush Etzion, was supposed to take a biology exam tomorrow,” his aunt said.

The Frankels, who are U.S. citizens from New York, have been living in Nof Ayalon, a community of 430 families, for nearly 20 years.

“This is the first time that a kidnapping of a child or anyone has taken place in our community,” Rami Lieber, the spokesperson for Nof Ayalon told the Tazpit News Agency. “The community is a very supportive one – psychologists and social workers have been helping out with the family’s children since the kidnapping."

On Sunday night, over 300 youths and community members of Nof Ayalon and from the surrounding area, gathered to pray together and recite the Psalms in the community’s yeshiva for the safe return of Naftali, who has six other siblings, and his classmates.

Meanwhile, a petition on the White House website was created, demanding the release of Naftali Frankel. 100,000 signatures are needed in order for the petition to be officially addressed by policy experts in the Obama administration. To sign the petition click here.

Terrorists in Gaza fired several missiles at Israeli cities in the southern region of the country, and terrorists fired shots at an Israeli checkpoint on Highway 60, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

Two rockets were fired last night from Gaza at Ashkelon. The rockets were intercepted, but the shrapnel caused damage to property.

In response to the continued rocket fire, the Israel Air Force targeted a center of terrorist activity and three weapons caches in the Gaza Strip. The targets were destroyed.

In the past 14 days, 11 rockets were fired at Israel, out of which 6 hit Israeli territories. Since the beginning of 2014, over 200 rockets were launched from Gaza at Israeli communities, twice the number that was shot during 2013.

An IDF spokesperson announced that the IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm the citizens of Israel, and will operate decisively against any acts of terrorism.

In a separate incident, terrorists opened fire on a checkpoint on a main route near the tunnel road leading to Gush Etzion. No one was injured in the attack.

Initial reports indicate that the shots were fired in a drive-by shooting from a white Subaru. Police have reportedly identified the car and are in pursuit.

Five bullet casings from a pistol have been found near the IDF post at the checkpoint, near the turnoff to the village of Wallaja.

Police and IDF forces declared a high alert for the area. The main highway, Highway 60, and communities in the area were temporarily closed.

Searches are continuing in the area between the village of Wallaja and Highway 60.

(Scroll down for video) A supermarket was slapped with charges after being caught selling beef penis for human consumption, the office of the Texas Attorney General announced.

MT Supermarket and some of its employees are facing the civil lawsuit alleging that they mislabeled and sold pizzle for human consumption.

The MT Supermarket in question is located in North Lamar.

Employees sold "uninspected adulterated beef pizzle that was mislabeled as food," according to court documents.

In one incident, a manager and employees took pizzle from boxes labeled "inedible meat not intended for use as human food,” and repackaged the pizzle in consumer size packages and labeled them as human food.

The lawsuit goes on to state that the packages were labeled to indicate that the pizzle was inspected and was from a registered source. Prosecutors are seeking $5,000 in fines against MT Supermarket and the employees named in the lawsuit.

In the United States, pizzle is commonly used in doggy toys and sometimes used in glue. In foreign cultures, beef pizzle is dried and ground for use in soups and beverages.

Some believe that eating pizzle increases sexual desire. Pizzle of other animals, specifically deer, is believed to increase strength and improve performance.

It was used by the Chinese team in the 2008 Olympics.

Mother of two children killed after sitting on top of another car during fight over parking space

By: Hydar Tomar

A mother of two children is dead after she got into a fight with another woman over a parking space.

Now, the nurse, who caused the death, was found guilty of causing death by careless driving.

33-year-old Christie McHugh of England, was at the Lord Kitchener pub in New Barnet, north London, with her husband John, her 5-year-old son and five-month-old daughter.

When the family was ready to leave, they realized that 51-year-old Ophelia Okai-Koi, who worked as a mental health nurse, parked close to their car, blocking them access to the back seat.

McHugh, who had been drinking along with her husband, allegedly became verbally abusive to Okai-Koi, before climbing onto the hood of Okai-Koi’s car.

McHugh began bouncing the car, claiming that Okai-Koi had no right to be at that parking lot since she did not patronise the pub, but was shopping at the nearby Sainsbury's store.

Okai-Koi called police. She then suddenly began driving with the mother still on the hood of the car. She drove erratically, causing McHugh to fall off the car, smashing her skull on the road. She died at the scene.

Judge Freya Newbery said that the issue in this case is whether a car should ever be driven blindly out of a parking lot at high speeds on to a busy road with an unsecured, 120 pound drunken person flailing on the hood of the car.

Attorney Daniel O’Malley said that Okai-Koi “feared for her life” when the drunk couple confronted her. He also said that maybe his client shouldn’t have used that parking lot, but it had nothing to do with the couple. It was a matter between the pub and her, not the customers.

Okai-Koi was released on bail while she is awaiting sentencing.

“Many women do not know how to approach men. They think that they are aggressive and predatory. We have to improve and educate both sides to treat each other with respect,” Schneider said.
