(Scroll down for video) A man turned his life around after being jailed and broke through Facebook.

Jason Fyk, the founder of FunnierPics.net and WTFMagazine.com, owns a business that generates about $275,000 per month.

Three years ago, Fyk was bankrupt, in jail, and borderline suicidal. However, he used Facebook to turn his life around.

At first, Fyk build one Facebook page, which represents WTF Magazine. Later, he realized that even totally unrelated pages to his website could be useful too.

Fyk set out to build and maintain as many pages as possible. Fyk now owns about 40 Facebook pages and controls more than 28 million likes in total.

The pages reach 260 million people on Facebook, and the list of distribution sends tens of millions of web page views a month to his website. This earns him several million dollars a year in advertising revenue.

He employs 16 people. Fyk, 40, is now a self-made millionaire, who built his fortune almost entirely on Facebook.

Shortly after Fyk launched his business he was jailed. His problems began when he was hanging out in a parking lot, when a drunken brawl broke out.

Fyk stood aside and began recording the fight on his smartphone. When things got serious, he tried to break up the fight.

Instead, he got blamed for plotting the altercation and was charged with attempted murder. Fyk was sent to jail. Two months later, the charges were dropped and Fyk was released from prison, broke and suicidal.

Instead of working for minimum wage he began building his Facebook empire, which now earns him millions of dollars a year.

(Scroll down for video) Three men were arrested on charges of making threats after allegedly threatening an Arab teen, who condemned the kidnapping of three Israeli yeshiva students, Israel Police said.

The Nazareth Police Department said that they arrested the three men on Tuesday, for threatening their relative, who posted a pro-Israel video on YouTube.

On the video, the teen wrapped himself in an Israeli flag, and expresses solidarity with the three kidnapped Israeli youth. 17-year-old Mohammad Zoabi of Nazareth, called for the release of the three students, and urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop releasing Palestinian terrorists.

Another relative, Knesset member Hanin Zoabi of the Arab Balad party, distanced herself from his comments on Tuesday, and said that the kidnappers were not terrorists. “Three men were arrested on suspicion of threatening to harm the child after he showed solidarity with the three young men on the video uploaded to the social network,” police said in a statement.

The three arrested are aged between 40 and 60. Hanin Zoabi said that Mohammad Zoabi was stupid and sad, and has distorted views.

700 Arabs donate 300,000 shekels for large Israeli charity that helps disabled children

Group of Arab volunteers for Israeli charity

For the first time, hundreds of Arabs held a fundraiser and collected hundreds of thousands of shekels for a leading Israeli charity organization, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The Israeli Arab city of Kalansua, which is located in central Israel, held a fundraising event called “A Smile of Hope.”

The fundraiser benefited the leading Israeli disabilities organization, Beit Issie Shapiro and their Sindian Center, which serves the Kalansua community and Arabs from across the Southern Triangle.

The event is believed to be the largest fundraiser of its kind in an Arab community for an established Israeli charity, with 700 people in attendance and 300,000 shekels ($86,700) raised.

Organizer Nawaf Zmiro is a lifelong campaigner for the disabilities organization in the Arab community, and is the recipient of the President’s Prize for Volunteering.

“As someone with a disability myself, I have a great appreciation for Beit Issie Shapiro,” said Nawaf. “Together, we do such good work for the population with disabilities in the Southern Triangle. The social change that was needed is already being felt in a very impressive way because we have been working for so long and so hard on inclusion. Beit Issie Shapiro has helped me realize my ambitions, and to show my abilities for people with disabilities,” he added.

“This event is testimony to how the community is committed to helping people with disabilities,” said Jean Judes, Executive Director of Beit Issie Shapiro. “I remember when we first started working in Kalansua, there was great stigma towards the people with disabilities. Today the situation is reversed,” Judes added.

The event was hosted by the well-known Arab news and sports reporter Zohir Baalul, with speakers including Beit Issie Shapiro’s Executive Director Jean Judes and Advisor on Arab Affairs to the Minister of Education, Mr. Nasser Abu Safia.

Mayor of Kalansua Mr. Albassat Slama, and Dr. Zeid Abou Moch, Head of the Islamic Department of the Interior Ministry, attended the event, as did Member of Knesset Ahmad Tibi, leader of the Arab Movement for Change (Ta'al) party.

“It was moving and emotional to see everyone working together as partners towards a joint mission, as well as the commitment to ensuring the financial sustainability of this important community service,” said Judes.

“We felt that, in addition to raising funds, we were creating an unprecedented cross-cultural dialogue between Jews and Arabs, and between people with disabilities and those without,” said Nawaf. “We all have a common goal, and want our children to be healthy and happy. Through a language understood by all, Jews and Arabs united under the common banner of giving. My heart was overwhelmed throughout the evening.”

The Beit Issie Shapiro Sindian Center in Kalansua, is a model in the Arab community. It was the first disability organization of its kind in Arab society to care for the entire family as well as children with disabilities. Beit Issie Shapiro provides workshops for the families of children with disabilities, mainstreaming children with disabilities into local schools, and providing workshops for local Imams and community leaders.

Beit Issie Shapiro facilitates cooperation between Jewish and Arab professionals, including those within the Palestinian Authority, in order to ensure that each child receives the best therapy suited to them.

Based in Ra’anana, Beit Issie Shapiro is a nonprofit innovator of therapies for children and adults with disabilities across Israel and around the world. It serves 30,000 people in Israel annually. In 2012, Beit Issie Shapiro became the first Israeli disabilities charity to have been awarded the Special Consultative Status to the U.N.’s Economic and Social Council.

Illegal immigrants to become New York State citizens, granting them right to vote and to receive financial assistance

Police detain illegal immigrants
By: Aarav Sen

(Scroll down for video) Illegal immigrants in New York, are rejoicing after learning that a lawmaker is proposing granting them New York State citizenship.

The illegal immigrants will gain the right to vote and obtain driver's licenses.

The bill is being proposed by state Senator Gustavo Rivera. The bill would require illegals to show that they have paid taxes in New York State for at least three years, and have to take a vow that they will uphold the laws of the state.

Critics call this a ridiculous bill because the people who are targeted by the bill are already living in the country illegally. The bill would also allow those who become New York State citizens to vote in state and local elections and seek public office.

Illegals will be able to get permits, professional business licenses and Medicaid, as well as in-state tuition benefits and other financial support from the school. The bill cannot change the provisions for benefits that are under the control of the federal government in Washington.

About 2.7 million illegals currently live in New York.

40 lawmakers of France visit families of kidnapped Israeli teens in the West Bank

Frankel family members
By: Yifa Segal

Forty politicians of France, who are currently in Israel, visited the families of the three kidnapped yeshiva students, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The delegation of 40 French lawmakers came to Israel to commemorate 65 years of diplomatic ties between France and Israel.

It is the largest parliamentarian delegation to ever arrive in Israel, and its members include members of the Senate, national committee, mayors and former ministers.

Upon their arrival, and despite their extremely busy schedule, the delegation's members asked to pay a visit to the families of the kidnapped Israeli teens. On Sunday morning, they visited the Nof Ayalon community, the hometown of the Frankel family, whose son Naftali was abducted by Palestinian terrorists on Thursday night.

The parliament members told Naftali's parents that their hearts are filled with prayer, appreciation and love for them and the boys. "Your smile strengthens us," said one French parliament member to Racheli, Naftali's mother.

Meyer Haviv, the head of the delegation, told the Tazpit News Agency that the visitors expressed their sorrow for the poor and insufficient coverage this tragic event has received in the French media.

“Unfortunately, the French public is more interested in the World Cup than in the kidnapping,” explained Haviv.

Racheli responded that her son was also really looking forward to the tournament. "Naftali is just a normal child who ultimately just wanted to return home from school,” she told the French visitors.

According to Haviv, the visit with the family left a profound impression with the delegation members. "Our visit was held under a very dark cloud of a tremendously dramatic event which hasn't received enough coverage in France. When you come face to face with such courageous people, it is certainly impossible to remain indifferent,” Haviv said.

The delegation's members expressed their sympathy and solidarity with the victims of terror. “Sadly, we are personally acquainted with acts of terrorism, as it has struck us as well with the shooting and killing of innocent people in Brussels and Toulouse,” said Haviv.

Claude Goasguen, a former minister in the French government and the representative of the 16th quarter in the French Parliament, stated that he is determined to do everything he can to spread the family's message.

“Although the issue is currently not receiving enough of the public's attention in the world, we are aware of the power and influence embedded within the social networks, and it is beginning to pick up. We will make sure to spread the message in order to ensure the boys’ safe return to their homes as soon as possible. As far as we are concerned, there is no difference between these Israeli boys and the kidnapped girls in Nigeria, and we join the families in prayer for their sons’ return,” said Goasguen.

The Frankel family was touched by the parliament members' visit. "It truly strengthens us to see this type of support from overseas. We hope to meet you again together with our son Naftali soon,” Racheli Frankel told the delegation.

(Scroll down for video) The recent kidnappings of three yeshiva students did nothing deter Jewish West Bank residents from hitchhiking, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

It is the fifth day since the kidnapping of the three Israeli teens by Palestinian terrorists at the Gush Etzion junction in Judea.

Standing at the site where the boys were reportedly last seen, IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians, adults and schoolchildren, continue on with the day, but not without thoughts of the tragic abduction.

"We are shocked by this," said Moriah Casspi, 30, from nearby Bat Ayin to the Tazpit News Agency, as she was waiting for her bus on Sunday. "The kidnapping is always on my mind. I find myself crying all the time. I can't even imagine what the parents are going through,” she said.

"For us, it is a horrible situation. Our kids and families are used to walking around that area without any hesitation. Now, we feel that it is not secure enough," said the head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, Davidi Pearl, to the Tazpit News Agency in an exclusive interview.

"It's especially scary for the kids, but we have to continue our lives as usual with a regular routine. We go to school and to work,” he added.

Pearl, who has been living in Gush Etzion for 44 years and is a resident of Alon Shvut, said that while the kidnapping was not surprising, the location of where it took place was unexpected. "We knew that someday this could happen, but we were surprised that it happened here, in what appears to be a secure area,” he said.

The Gush Etzion junction, also known as Tzomet HaGush in Hebrew, serves as the entry point to the Gush Etzion bloc of communities as well as the business and commercial shopping center in Judea. Located two miles south of Efrat, and a 15-minute drive to the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo, the site has been frequently targeted by Palestinian terrorists.

"We have to fight against this terror and we have to say that the State of Israel is here to stay," said Davidi.

Located in the Judean Mountains, public transportation to and from Gush Etzion, where more than 70,000 Israelis live, is limited. Many residents rely on hitchhiking to get to their homes.

Alana Bandos, a Wisconsin native studying in Jerusalem for the year, told the Tazpit News Agency that although she has been scared to use the Gush Etzion junction for transportation, she will not let the terrorists stop her.

"My aunt and uncle live in Efrat, and I visit them frequently. I don't believe in giving in to terrorists, which is part of why I'm here today, waiting to catch a bus back to Jerusalem," she said.

School officials in Cumberland County, are investigating the allegations made against the elementary school principal.

The principal ordered the students to walk for more than two hours on Tuesday morning, because they were not wearing their uniforms. The Manchester Elementary School principal was identified as Tammy Holland.

It was not. Parents said that Holland ordered the children to walk on a dirt road until their parents brought them their uniforms. The teachers were told not to give children water as they walked.

The temperature was in the mid to high 70's when the children began to walk and in the middle to upper 80’s when they stopped, according to the meteorological data. It felt even hotter because of the high humidity, a spokesperson for the National Weather Service in Raleigh said.
