Israeli missile blows up car driven by terrorists

(Scroll down for video) A video emerged showing the moment two Gaza terrorists were killed by an Israeli missile attack, a video uploaded to the Internet showed.

Security cameras located in the refugee camp of al-Shati in Gaza, captured the targeted killing by the Israel Air Force on Friday.

The two terrorists were members of the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigade. A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces identified the two terrorists as Muhammad al-Fasih and Usama al-Hassumi.

The two terrorists were involved in rocket attacks against Israel in recent weeks, and had planned future terrorist attacks against Israelis. The video was uploaded to YouTube by Media Statement.

Most viewers who saw the video, had positive comments about the incident. “Notice how they waited until that man walking was out of range so he would not be hit,” Chaya Eitan said.

“People, this is important. If you watch the video you can clearly see that this car drives past a civilian (right side near the bridge), also it passes by a bunch of parked cars. Israel bombed the terrorists only after they drove past the civilian and the parked cars. The IAF paid attention and avoided killing the civilian and destroying the parked cars. Also, if they blew up the terrorists near the parked cars it would create a chain reaction and lots of explosions and damage. Only the IDF pays attention to such things. We all know how NATO drones in Afghanistan and Pakistan, can kill hundreds of civilians just to kill one or two Taliban terrorists. Israel always tries to minimize the unnecessary casualties,” NoBodysGamer said.

The Legal Forum demands Palestinian Authority to pay for paint factory that was destroyed by Gaza rocket

Paint factory on fire

A Gaza rocket slammed into an Israeli paint factory, destroying the building.

Now, a group is demanding that the Palestinian Authority pay for the damages suffered by the company, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The Legal Forum for Israel sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Minister of Defense Moshe Ya'alon, demanding that compensation for the damage caused to the factory in the Sderot industrial area after it was hit by rockets from the Gaza Strip be deducted from the funds transferred by Israel to the Palestinian Authority.

Nachi Eyal, CEO of the Forum, is demanding that any sum of money allocated for the rehabilitation and compensation of the factory owner and its employees should be taken from the funds collected by Israel for the PA, even if there is no intention of transferring them to the PA now. In fact, the demand is to have the PA cover the costs of the damage.

The plant in Sderot, was damaged by the barrage of rockets launched from the Gaza Strip on Saturday night at Sderot, as it was hit and consumed by fire. According to the Oslo Accords and the Paris Agreement, the Israeli authorities collect taxes for the Palestinian Authority. Parts of these funds end up in the Gaza Strip, directly or indirectly by the payment of salaries to workers of the PA who work in Gaza.

The Forum claims that the transfer of funds is not only prohibited by law, but is further immoral. Late in 2009, the Forum's lawyers petitioned the Supreme Court against the transfer of funds to Gaza, but the state justified the transfer of funds to Gaza and rejected claims that it was a breach of the law prohibiting the finance of terrorism.

Israel to hire Jordanians to work at Eilat hotels

Eilat hotels
By: Anav Silverman

The Israel Tourism Ministry has announced plans to hire Jordanian citizens to work at hotels in Eilat, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

Jordan’s rate of unemployment is high in the country’s south.

The proposal by the Israeli government is expected to help alleviate some of that unemployment.

The Israeli cabinet on Sunday, approved the proposal to employ up to 1,500 Jordanian workers in hotels.

According to the proposal, the workers would be day workers, who return to Jordan at the end of the working day, and would be employed in cleaning, dishwashing and room service in Eilat hotels.

The proposal aims to solve the manpower crisis in Eilat hotels, which is expected to increase during the peak of the summer tourism season.

The Israeli Tourism Ministry also noted that the arrangement will contribute to the relationship between Israel and Jordan, which signed a peace treaty in 1994.

Tourism Minister Dr. Uzi Landau stated: "We have decided to advance the issue of work visa approvals for Jordanian workers in Eilat, out of a desire to strengthen the hotel industry. There is a serious crisis in manpower in Eilat hotels that will only intensify as the summer peak season approaches.”

“This crisis could significantly damage the Eilat tourism industry, harming the income and jobs of tens of thousands of families, primarily from the less affluent strata of society. The importance of the tourism industry is in its ability to create jobs that lead to reduced economic and social gaps. An approval of the proposal will provide an answer to the labor shortage and I am convinced that the process will even strengthen the peace between Israel and Jordan,” added Landau.

There are 12,000 hotel rooms in Eilat, and thousands of workers are required to cover positions in cleaning, dishwashing and room service. The situation is particularly acute given the lack of urban infrastructure in the city that could help with the recruitment of employees. Several short-term solutions have been used to solve this problem of providing workers for the hotel industry in the resort.

As a result of a prior agreement signed between Israel and Jordan, there are currently up to 300 day workers from Jordan working in different areas in Eilat. This agreement has been working satisfactorily according to the Tourism Ministry since the year 2000 with about 170 Jordanian workers crossing into Eilat and returning home at the end of the day.

The modern city of Eilat was established in 1950, with the tourism industry developing in the city towards the end of the 1960's. A leading tourist city today, Eilat is located on the southernmost tip of Israel, with its famous coral reef and unique marine life running along its Red Sea shores.

Gaza rocket hit paint factory in Southern Israel burning it to the ground (video)

(Scroll down for video) As the rocket fire from Gaza increases the Israeli military is calling up reserves in preparation for a ground invasion, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The Israel Air Force (IAF) attacked twelve terrorist targets in Gaza overnight, in response to several rockets fired at Israeli civilian targets from Gaza over the weekend, including one rocket that landed on a factory in Sderot, wounding four and destroying the factory.

Firefighters fought long and hard to extinguish the blaze.

The IAF attacked three hidden launching pads, two weapons manufacturing sites in northern and central Gaza, a terror activity site in central Gaza and three terror activity sites in southern Gaza. Direct hits were confirmed on all targets.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon spoke yesterday with Mayor of Sderot Alon Davidi, following the rocket barrage on his city. During the conversation, Ya'alon strengthened the mayor and the residents of the area, stating: "We are working to restore quiet to the south. We will not tolerate attempts by terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, to disrupt the daily routine of the residents of the south, and as we have operated in the past few days, we will also act harshly and decisively against terrorists firing at Israel, and strike them with a painful blow. You show leadership and responsibility in such situations, and together with the residents, who are unfortunately very experienced in such events and are also showing responsibility and steadfastness, you allow us to work optimally to restore calm to the area."

Mayor Davidi stated: "Sderot residents are not deterred by the criminal and cowardly actions of the terrorists, firing rockets from Gaza into civilian population centers. We stand firm in order to provide full backup to the Prime Minister, Defense Minister and IDF to act firmly to bring back the kidnapped yeshiva students and restore order to the area. We send our appreciation to the rescue forces who acted fast, thus saving four people who were in the factory that was damaged and consumed by the fire."

On Friday, the IAF targeted Osama Hassumi and Mohammad Fatzih, terror operatives who were responsible for firing rockets on southern Israel in the past weeks. They were further involved in several terror attacks against Israel over the past few years and were planning further attacks. IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner stated: “Militants like Hassumi and Fatzih, attacking Israel from Gaza, are not safe, do not have immunity, and will not be free to plan, plot and operate. We will continue to strike the instigators and agitators with patience, determination and precision. Gaza rocket terrorism does not pay.”

Earlier Friday, an explosive device was detonated on the border with southern Gaza, lightly damaging an IDF military vehicle. No injuries were reported. IDF tanks fired at positions in Gaza known to be used as terrorist observations posts.

Over 30 rockets have been launched from Gaza at Israel since the beginning of Operation "Brother's Keeper," to find the three yeshiva students abducted by Hamas terrorists over two weeks ago. Over 3.5 million Israelis are currently living under threat of rocket attacks.

Israel has also sent notices to reserve soldiers in preparation of a possible ground invasion of Gaza.

He was due to appear in court on Friday.

By: Anika Rao

(Scroll down for video) A man tried to kill his girlfriend by scaring her at their campsite.

The man who urged his much older girlfriend to jump off a cliff to escape a nonexistent bear, has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder.

Authorities said that 28-year-old Lucas Gingras, came up with an elaborate hoax in an attempt to kill his girlfriend.

Ladonna Merriman, 44, broke her back and punctured her lung, among other injuries after falling 60 feet from the mountain near Milton, Vermont.

Gingras allegedly told police he had urged Merriman to jump off the cliff because he believed that a bear was attacking his cabin.

Gingras later admitted that he was high on MDMA, and perhaps hallucinated about the bear coming after them.

However, authorities did not believe his story. They believe that it was a deliberate act to cover up his plan of trying to kill Merriman, who had recently tried to break up with him.

Police believe that Gingras spiked Merriman’s drink with MDMA and then told her to jump off the cliff.

In an attempt to reinforce the false story of the bear, police said Gingras burned the couple's cabin as if the fire had started during the commotion of the animal’s visit.

Prosecutors charged Gingras with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree arson, first-degree domestic assault and reckless endangerment.

People wash their face with urine to stay young looking

Woman washing her face illustration
By: Devansh Dutt

The unusual treatment of drinking urine for its health benefits became popular across China.

There are reportedly at least 100,000 people, who swear that it keeps them fit and young.

79-year-old retired engineer Bao Yafu, is chairman of the China Urine Treatment Association, and has been drinking urine for the past 22 years.

He insists that there are many health benefits in drinking urine. He admits that many people have a hard time overcoming the initial “gross” taste.

Bao not only drinks three cups of his own urine every day, but he also uses urine to wash his face. Bao said that he did not have a cold since he began drinking his own urine 22 years ago.

“My eyes become brighter and I have no age spots on the face,” he said.

However, local doctors said that the treatment of drinking urine has no scientific proof, and advised against consuming it.

One man got sick after drinking urine for health benefits.
88-year-old Linhui Zhou, began drinking his own urine 24 years ago, believing it would cure his ill health.

When he started feeling better, Zhou continued drinking his urine for its health benefits. However, Zhou was hospitalized with kidney failure, doctors treating him said that the kidney failure is a direct result of drinking urine.

“Urine is a waste product, why anyone would ever put it back in their body is beyond me,” Urologist Yu Xiong, who is treating Zhou, said.
