Hamas releases video warning Israelis of suicide bombing on every bus and cafe

Hamas warns of suicide bombings
By: Aryeh Savir

(Scroll down for video) Hamas has released a video in which they warn Israeli citizens that they will send in suicide bombers to blow up every bus and cafe, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported that Hamas has broadcasted on their Al-Aqsa TV, numerous videos in Hebrew in the past days in an attempt at psychological warfare against Israel, or at least in an attempt to make its own people think it is successfully intimidating Israel.

The videos include threats in broken Hebrew to return to suicide bombings, stabbings and other terror attacks against Israelis. Hamas also falsely claimed to have hit the Israeli Knesset and made it tremble once, and threatened to do it again.

The clips include threats such as: "Zionists, wait and see terror attacks and stabbings everywhere. Wait for suicide attacks on every bus, cafe and street. Wait for the rage and for revenge for Gaza, wait for the flames of the West Bank, inside you."

"Zionists, we can reach you above ground and below it. So start counting the number of coffins you'll need in these months. Zionists, do you still remember the rockets that made Tel Aviv and the Israeli Parliament tremble? We just wanted to tell you that we have thousands of them,” the video warns.

As Hamas keeps launching rockets against Israel, and as Israel's Operation Protective Edge responds by targeting Hamas' terror infrastructure, Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement is openly supporting Hamas and has produced their own videos in Hebrew.

PMW has documented threats made by Fatah on social media, and today Fatah posted two videos threatening Israelis: "A message to the Israeli government and the Israeli people: Death will reach you from the south to the north. Flee our country and you won't die. The KN-103 rocket is on its way toward you."

Israel reveals types of Gaza rockets and ways they are smuggled into the Palestinian territory

Rocket ready to launch in Gaza
By: Aryeh Savir

Israel revealed the types of Gaza rockets and the ways they are smuggled into the territory, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the other terrorist organizations operating in the Gaza Strip, have several thousand rockets with a maximum range that enables them to attack central Israel and even further north.

The terrorist groups have managed to upgrade their rocket arsenal, through both local production and smuggling, increasing their capabilities both quantitatively and qualitatively, according to a report issued by the Meit Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC).

The terror organizations have two types of rockets in their possession. The first type is standard military rockets smuggled into the Gaza Strip by sea and overland, most of them originating from Iran. To smuggle them into the Gaza Strip, Iran has constructed a complex system that crosses borders, and includes sea and overland routes.

Sudan is the key country in the system. The arms are brought there by ship and then transferred overland by networks of professional smugglers into the Gaza Strip. The most recent smuggle attempt prevented by the Israeli navy was on March 5, 2014 when it intercepted a shipload of long-range M302 rockets manufactured in Syria, and was sent to the Gaza Strip by Iran through Sudan on board the ship Klos-C.

These long range M302 rockets have been fired at Israel in recent days, hitting as far as Hadera. The second type of rocket is developed and produced locally.

The terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip try to develop and produce advanced rockets locally, including rockets with ranges of up to 80 kilometers (about 50 miles), according to analysis by Brigadier General Itay Brun, head of the IDF's Military Intelligence Analysis and Production Unit.

The technical know-how used by the terrorist organizations to manufacture medium-range rockets also comes from Iran. During Operation Pillar of Defense 8 M75 rockets manufactured by Hamas in the Gaza Strip were used to attack the center of Israel.

The efforts invested in locally developing and manufacturing rockets is the result of the difficulties faced by the terrorist organizations in smuggling weapons into the Gaza Strip. The difficulties are also caused by the preventive activities carried out by Egypt, which has lately taken intensive action against the smuggling tunnels.

According to Brigadier General Brun, the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip have doubled the quantities of rockets they had during Operation Pillar of Defense.

These rockets consist of several hundred rockets with ranges of up to 80 kilometers (about 50 miles), rockets which can reach all the areas of central Israel and Jerusalem, such as the Fajr-5 ("dawn") Iranian rockets, medium range artillery produced by Iran since 1991, apparently with aid of North Korea.

Attacking Israel with Fajr-5 rockets during Operation Pillar of Defense became an important factor in the "victory myth" perpetuated by Hamas and the PIJ. The rocket that seriously damaged a residential building in Rishon Letzion, south of Tel Aviv, on November 20, 2012 during Operation Pillar of Defense, was a Fajr-5.

The terrorist organizations also have several thousand rockets with ranges of up to 40 kilometers (about 25 miles), rockets that can reach Be’er Sheva, Ashdod, Kiryat Gat, and Kiryat Malachi, in southern Israel, and several thousand rockets with ranges of up to 20 kilometers (about 12.5 miles), rockets which can reach Sderot, and Ashkelon, in the western Negev.

This category includes 122mm Grad rockets, mostly made in China. To facilitate smuggling them into the Gaza Strip through the tunnels the Iranians created, a standard rocket is composed of four sections, enabling it to be dismantled.

The terrorist organizations also have mortars of various diameters, including 60mm, 80mm, 120mm, and mortars manufactured locally with ranges of between three and ten kilometers. In addition, they have anti-tank rockets, among them PG-7s and PG-29s, and anti-tank missiles such as the AT-4 Fagot, the AT-5 Konkurs and the AT-4 Kornet.

The ITIC's report concludes that the rocket threat to the Israeli home front has increased since Operation Pillar of Defense. According to Brigadier General Brun, the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, have double the number of rockets they had during Operation Pillar of Defense.

The increase noted by Brigadier General Brun is both quantitative and qualitative. The upgrade was clearly demonstrated in Operation Pillar of Defense and now in Operation Protective Edge.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu receives full support for Operation Protective Edge from Germany and the U.S.

PM Benjamin Netanyahu speaking about Gaza war crimes
By: Aryeh Savir

(Scroll down for video) The leaders of Germany and the U.S., told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that it is Israel’s duty to defend itself against Hamas, the Tazpit News Agency reported.
Netanyahu spoke with several world leaders, including U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, regarding Operation Protective Edge and its implications.

Netanyahu said in his conversations that no country in the world would agree to suffer relentless missile attacks, and infiltration attempts by sea and via terror tunnels. Hamas is perpetrating a double war crime by deliberately trying to attack Israeli civilians while using the civilian population in Gaza as human shields.

Netanyahu placed the blame for civilian casualties in Gaza on Hamas. Netanyahu added that Hamas is known throughout the world as a terrorist organization and said that the international community must strongly condemn the continued rocket fire at Israeli cities.

The U.N. Security Council is scheduled to convene to discuss the situation in Israel. Netanyahu reported that his conversations were affective.

“Today, I spoke with several world leaders. I appreciated their expressions of strong support for our right and our duty to defend ourselves, and this is what we will continue to do,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu will speak with additional world leaders in the coming days. Netanyahu has further issued a statement to the international community: "Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza are firing rockets on cities throughout the State of Israel – on Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Be'er Sheva, Sderot and other cities in Israel. No country on earth would remain passive in the face of hundreds of rockets fired on its cities, and Israel is no exception."

"Today we expanded our operations against Hamas and the other terrorist groups in Gaza. We will continue to protect our civilians against Hamas attacks on them. Hamas by contrast, is deliberately putting Palestinian civilians into harm's way. It embeds its terrorists in hospitals, schools, mosques and apartment buildings throughout the Gaza Strip. Hamas is thus committing a double war crime: It targets Israeli civilians, while hiding behind Palestinian civilians. This operation could take time. We are resolved to defend our families and our homes,” Netanyahu concluded.

Israel Air Force seen on video refraining from destroying terrorist building after civilians formed human shield

Gaza civilians from human shield
By: Aryeh Savir

(Scroll down for video) The Israel Air Force aborted a mission after dozens of civilians gathered to form a human shield, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

Despite the gesture, Gazan terrorists continued to fire rockets at Israeli civilian targets throughout the night.

Since midnight, 8 rockets have been fired at Israel by Hamas terrorists, and the IDF has hit 54 terror targets in the Gaza Strip. In the past 24 hours, more than 105 rockets were launched from Gaza towards Israel. In response to the continued rocket fire, the IDF struck 326 targets across the Gaza Strip including concealed rocket launchers, terror tunnels, training bases, military compounds, weapons storage and manufacturing facilities, and additional sites utilized as control centers by senior Hamas terrorists.

For the second night in a row, Hamas tried to send terrorists into Kibbutz Zikim, through the sea. The terrorists were again spotted by the IDF. Both terrorists were killed. No IDF soldiers were injured in the attack.

The IDF is currently focusing its efforts on destroying the terror infrastructure in Gaza from the air and targeting terrorist leaders and commanders. The IAF targeted the homes of several Hamas commanders yesterday, who used their homes as terror command centers.

Early this morning, the IDF targeted three Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists, who were involved in the manufacturing of medium-range rockets. Accurate hits were registered. Hamas has resorted again to using human shields to protect their infrastructure.

The population seems to be gladly cooperating with them, and this has caused the IDF to abort missions. The IDF has stated that it is doing its utmost to avoid such occurrences.

Reports of a possible IDF incursion into Gaza are intensifying. Israel is deploying a third infantry brigade alongside two others already on the border and is continuing to call up more reserves, army spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Lerner said in a briefing.

Since the start of Operation Protective Edge, over 360 rockets have been fired towards Israel, and the IDF has targeted approximately 780 targets, with both naval and aerial capabilities.

As missiles fell on Wednesday, as far north as Zichron Yaakov, and following the rising tensions and ongoing preparations of the Israeli Home-Front Command, Haifa's mayor Yona Yahav has instructed emergency teams to refresh emergency procedures.

Furthermore, he instructed to raise the level of alertness of the municipality at the wartime headquarters.

Mayor Yona Yahav said: "We ask you to keep calm, don't panic, and maintain your daily routine. Experience from the Second Lebanon War has taught us that the majority of the citizens turn to the municipality in times of emergency, so we must be ready for that moment if it comes. To keep up with the challenges that we might face in the near future we established the municipal HQ, so that the security forces can operate even under extreme conditions."

"The new HQ, which we inaugurated a year ago, is part of the municipality’s very serious approach to operations during times of crisis. Haifa's municipality is prepared on all levels, and thanks to that the city is praised time and again for its high security standards during all drills,” the mayor added.

The spot for its construction was carefully chosen to meet the highest standards, including all the necessary systems that are installed to make sure a crisis can be handled even under the worst conditions that can be forced upon it.

The HQ building is an underground structure that can endure the harshest standards including attacks by unconventional weapons. It holds air conditioning and filtering systems that can withstand even the most severe chemical agents.

In light of the recent Home-Front Command assessments, Yona Yahav instructed to increase defensive readiness throughout the city, while preparing medical services and increasing emergency readiness of the educational system.
