The United States offers $5 million reward for information leading to the arrest of kidnappers of murdered yeshiva students

Three kidnapped and murdered yeshiva students

The United States announced a reward of $5 million to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of those who kidnapped and murdered three yeshiva students, according to Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Cruz, a Republican, filed legislation to offer the reward of up to $5 million for information on or the capture of the Hamas terrorists, who kidnapped and murdered Naftali Frankel, an Israeli-U.S. citizen, on June 12, 2014.

Representative Doug Lamborn, Colorado, has filed bipartisan companion legislation in the House, co-sponsored by Rep. Brad Sherman, California, lead Democrat on the bill.

Naftali was one of three Jewish teens, who was killed by Hamas terrorists, along with Gil-Ad Shaer and Eyal Yifrach.

“The Israeli government’s recent action against Hamas is a just and appropriate mission to both bring the terrorists responsible to justice, and to degrade their capability to launch further attacks,” Sen. Cruz said. “No one doubts Israel’s ability to carry out this mission, but given Naftali’s citizenship, I believe the United States should demonstrate our clear support for Israel by offering a reward as we traditionally have in terrorist attacks involving Americans. This support should be understood in the context of our partnership with the nation of Israel in the fight against radical Islamic terrorism, which is our fight as well. I’m proud to work with Congressman Lamborn on this legislation.”

"It is an honor to once again partner with Sen. Cruz on anti-terrorism legislation,” said Congressman Lamborn. “This bill will require the Secretary of State to use the Rewards for Justice program to offer a five million dollar reward for information that leads to the capture of the terrorists responsible for the death of an American citizen, ensuring that they will never again be allowed to murder innocent teenagers. The silence from the Obama Administration is truly appalling. Doing nothing in the face of such a heinous action is not an option. That’s why Senator Cruz and I are working on moving this solution forward in a bipartisan manner.”

Mexican woman tells world she feels safe in Jerusalem

(Scroll down for video) Numerous tourists in Jerusalem spoke about how they feel safe and protected by the Israeli Army, while coming under rocket attack, according to a video uploaded by the Tazpit News Agency.

On Thursday, several rockets from Gaza hit Jerusalem.

However, tourists in Israel’s capital seemed to go about their daily activities. One female tourist said that she is not afraid, but admitted that it must be terrible for Israelis to live under constant rocket fire.

A woman from Mexico said: “We came from Mexico, and at first, we were very frightened. A short while ago, we heard the sirens go off, and our children were very scared. However, we know that we are in a safe country because the police are guarding us wherever we go.”

“It is not just that the Arabs are attacking civilians, they are launching missiles at small children who are scared. There are good people here who want peace and don’t want any problems,” she added.

“We are proud of the way Israel has reacted to the rocket fire, and to the way it had protected us and all of the people, those who live here and those who don’t,” she concluded.

A woman from Hungary said: “I never heard missiles before, and when I heard them it frightened me. However, now I feel calm. I feel calm because I know that the Israeli technology is very advanced.”

A man from New York said: “I feel very safe here. I am under the protection of the great IDF.”

As Israeli children come under rocket attacks Israeli hospitals treating 8 sick Gaza children

(Scroll down for video) Israel announced that it will continue to treat sick Gaza children in its hospitals despite coming under heavy bombings by Hamas, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The Rambam Health Care Campus provides medical care to hundreds of patients from Gaza and the Palestinian Authority (PA) year round.

650 children and teenagers were treated in the hospital throughout 2013. Currently, patients include 3 adults and 8 children from Gaza, and 3 adults and 2 children from the PA.

In addition, the Haifa hospital has 7 patients from the PA being treated in the outpatient clinics. Additional patients from the Gaza area are scheduled for treatments later this week. These young patients are accompanied by relatives. Medical cooperation between Israel and the PA continues despite the shootings.

According to Yazid Falah, the coordinator for Palestinian patients coming to Rambam: “Despite the security situation, and despite the fact that both sides are fighting, all continues as usual in the realm of medical cooperation. Even in times of war we continue to receive patients and give them the care they need — children and adults.”

While the medical routine is maintained, the current situation cannot be avoided and there is a feeling of tension in the air, the hospital reports. Falah is in close contact with the Arab patients. He shares that they feel trapped in an impossible situation.

"On the one hand they are in Israel and see the consequences of the actions of Hamas and how people get hurt on this side of the border. On the other hand, their families in Gaza are under attack by the IDF and they fear for the lives of their loved ones," said Falah.

“There are those who have told me that they are ashamed of what Gaza is doing, and others say that they are afraid of how people will talk and look at them here in the hospital. Others have said that they are afraid to return to Gaza. Some have made contact with their families and learned of property damage and casualties near their homes. Those people have a life there and see the kind of life people have here. At the end of the day, they simply want to live in peace, but it is clear to them that the situation has changed. They believe the situation will only to get worse.” Falah added.

Despite the complications, the human factor remains the winner. The hospital has become a second home to these patients. Israelis and Palestinians literally live together due to the long hospitalizations, as is the case in all Israeli hospitals. Parents and children share rooms, activities, treatments, and begin to develop solid relationships.

"When the hostilities escalated, the Palestinian patients feared a cold reception," said Falah. “We explained that it would never happen in an Israeli hospital. Here you see people and not nationalities. Many times, Israeli patients reach out to their Palestinian neighbors to help them feel more comfortable and to encourage them. Eventually, all are in the same boat.”

Despite constant rocket fire from Gaza Israel continues to feed Palestinians with fuel and electricity

Truck supplies Gaza with essential items

Despite coming under extremely heavy rocket fire, Israel has decided to continue sending fuel and electricity to Gaza, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The IDF's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), announced that trucks were delivering through the Kerem Shalom Crossing, loads of supplies.

94 truckloads containing a variety of goods and 106 tons of gas were delivered on Thursday alone. Some 200 trucks of food and other basics goods and products have traveled through the Kerem Shalom crossing since the start of Operation Protective Edge.

However, materials which may be used by terrorists, such as steel and cement, were not allowed entry into Gaza. The trucks were heavily guarded, as is the Kerem Shalom Crossing, which serves as a high profile target for Hamas attacks.

Only a few days ago, the IDF blew up a terror tunnel that was discovered in the vicinity of the Kerem Shalom Crossing.

(Scroll down for video) Police managed to obtain a warrant to photograph the erect penis of a boy in order to file child porn charges, police in Virginia said.

People are outraged by the hypocrisy of the Manassas Police Department, as they are prepared to create their own child porn in order to charge the 17-year-old boy with child porn.

The incident began when Trey Sims sent sexually explicit video of himself to his 15-year-old girlfriend. If he does not cooperate with the police, they have threatened to take him to a hospital where doctors will induce an erection by injection.

The police already photographed the teen's genitals against his will when he was arrested. The teenager was charged with manufacturing and distributing child pornography after his girlfriend's mother called police.

He allegedly sent the girl videos of himself after being told several times to stop. The boy’s defense attorney said that the child sent the videos after the girl sent him photos of herself.

However, the girl has not been charged. Officers seized the boy’s iPhone and iPad when he was arrested.

Woman suffers extreme pain after nose grew on her back

A woman was hospitalized after a nose grew on her back, a doctor of Iowa said.

The woman developed the nose growth about eight years after a stem cell treatment to cure her paralysis failed.

She was rushed to the Hospital de Egas Moniz located in Lisbon, Portugal. The unnamed woman, a U.S. citizen, had nasal tissue implanted in her spine.

Doctors hoped that the cells will transform themselves into nerve cells and help repair the damage to the nerves in her spine.

However, the treatment failed. Last year, eight years after the stem cell operation, the woman, 28, complained of increasing pain in the area.

Doctors discovered a three inch long growth, which was found to be mainly the nasal tissue, and bits of bone and branches of nerves that had not connected with the spinal nerves.

Neurosurgeon Brian Dlouhy of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, who removes the growth, said that it was benign.

“It was a mucus-like material, which was probably why it was painful,” he said. Jean Peduzzi-Nelson, a stem cell researcher at Wayne State University of Detroit, Michigan, who advised the team that carried out the surgical technique, said that most recipients of nasal tissue experience improvement. However, this woman was an exception.

Now, the grandmother who called police on her grandson, is distraught over his death.

Tyler Johnson of Bradley County, Tennessee, was killed when a police cruiser hit his car in an attempt to get him off the road during the police chase.

Johnson was killed on Michigan Avenue, just hours after taking his grandmother's car.

Ruth Johnson said she was at a friend's house looking for her grandson when he stopped at the same friend’s house, but when he saw his grandma at the home he took off.

His grandma got into a car to follow him in an attempt to stop the teen from driving. However, when he would not stop the grandmother called the police.

Ruth Johnson said that she asked the police to put spikes on the road and begged them not to use sirens because “Tyler would panic and run.”

However, officers did exactly that and the scared teen led them on a high speed chase. The police cruiser hit the car, which went into a ditch and hit a telephone pole at about 80 miles per hour, killing the boy.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
