2 women launch ‘White Color’ helping brides and grooms find wedding halls after being bombed out in southern Israel

Recently, many couples in Southern Israel, had to cancel their weddings due to the ongoing rocket fire from Gaza, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The rockets falling across Israel in the past days have caused disturbances and hindrances, camps were closed, events were canceled and the economy was disrupted.

One of the restrictions imposed by the Home Front Command following the dangerous security situation is that large gatherings are prohibited in the south.

For couples who are supposed to get married, this is a real blow. A group of volunteers decided to provide a solution. Working through Facebook, “White Color” connects between couples who are forced to cancel their wedding and providers of wedding services who are willing to help the beleaguered residents of the south.

The initiators of this enterprise are two women, Tal Maor-Zingerman, a graphic artist, and Hadar Melamed-Richter, an architect.

Seeing many couples in distress, they decided to act. They both have a blog on the wedding fashion scene, having vast connections in the wedding business, and they decided to offer their services.

The group is well experienced, having operated during Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012.

Tal explained that the level of stress is currently higher than usual: "It’s the wedding season now, and almost all the halls are already booked."

The group connects the couples in distress with full wedding packages, including providers who are offering substantial discounts to couples fleeing the missiles in the south. Tal shares that people are even offering their own homes as bride salons. They are constantly receiving calls from tens of brides and providers who want to help.

In light of the recent attacks and heavy bombings on southern Israel, the nonprofit "Chasdei Naomi," that is usually involved in assisting the less fortunate in society, announced that they have opened their six wedding halls, "Armonot Chen" in Bnei Brak and Jerusalem, free of charge to residents from the south whose weddings were postponed.

In addition to the halls, the organization has offered to assist in wedding planning at their Jerusalem location, and offered logistic equipment and assistance in updating their guests on the event changes in all their locations. The organization has previously opened their doors during Operation Pillar of Defense and assisted three couples.

"My family is from Ashkelon, and so I have been living in this situation for years. I know what people feel. We are sure to stand by whoever needs anything. During the last operation we've helped dozens of couples get married on time, despite the chaos," said Tal. "It is important for me to emphasize that all those who are involved are volunteers, and I have no words to thank them for joining us. We invite any couple in distress to contact us," concluded Tal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu orders military to attack Gaza after Hamas ignores ceasefire by firing rockets

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
orders resumption of Gaza air strikes
By: Aryeh Savir

The Israeli prime minister has ordered the Israel Defense Forces to continue their attacks on Gaza, after Hamas ignored a ceasefire agreement brokered by Egypt, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

Hamas has been firing relentlessly into Israel, after Israel announced this morning that it has accepted the Egyptian brokered ceasefire proposition with Hamas.

The IDF has held its fire since 9:00 a.m. Since that time, Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip, have fired over 40 rockets at Israel, including one toward Haifa.

After hours of rockets falling on Israeli population centers with sirens going off 58 times and after hours of inaction, the Israel Air Force has resumed attacking terror targets in Gaza.

Netanyahu warned Hamas earlier today: "If Hamas rejects the Egyptian proposal and the rocket fire from Gaza does not cease, which appears to be the case now, we are prepared to continue and intensify our operation to protect our people. For this we have the full support from the responsible members of the international community."

The New York Police department said that the incident occurred in Eltingville early Sunday morning, when a group of men in a car threw eggs, fast food and drinks, and yelled anti-Semitic slurs.

The 20-year-old victim was walking along Eltingville Boulevard when a gray four-door sedan drove by. The driver turned around, and the vehicle passengers began throwing the eggs and drink cups at the victim.

When the victim ran away, the suspects shouted anti-Semitic insults. A Jewish community leader however, said that this was not the first anti-Semitic incident.

"They roll down the windows and start yelling," he said. "It's part of the fabric of today's society, and it is happening more and more," he added.

Israel accepts ceasefire brokered by Egypt while Hamas rejects it firing more rockets at civilians

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
announces acceptance of ceasefire
By: Aryeh Savir

(Scroll down for video) Israel has accepted a ceasefire proposal by Egypt, but Hamas rejected it, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

Eight days after the commencing of Operation Protective Edge, Israel's Security Cabinet voted in favor of the ceasefire with Hamas.

Six ministers voted with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in favor of accepting the ceasefire, while Avigdor Lieberman and Naftali Bennett voted against the ceasefire.

Hamas has rejected the ceasefire. They have fired several mortar shells and rockets at Israel since the ceasefire has come into effect.

Several of Netanyahu's political party members voiced strong opposition to the acceptance of the ceasefire at such an early stage in the campaign. They believe that the IDF could have done much more to decimate Hamas's capabilities.

Minister of Transportation Yisrael Katz stated: "The rocket threat has not been removed and Hamas' leadership was not annihilated. If we would have won this war the world would have stood up and applauded. Ending the campaign in this fashion will bring immense pressure on Israel."

Deputy Minister of Defense Danny Danon thinks the government could have done much more to defend its citizens.

Quoting Netanyahu's statement from 2007, he said: "Currently, the government is not doing enough to defend the residents of Sderot. This paralysis, this failure, and this helplessness must end."

MK Moshe Feiglin believes that this ceasefire consists of a victory for the Hamas party.

"A ceasefire after the bombing of all of the big cities in Israel invites the next round, in much more severe conditions," Feiglin said.

Minister of Tourism Uzi Landau stated that the ceasefire conveys a destructive message, and we cannot point to any real achievements. "The Middle East is watching what is going on here, and organizations such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS are getting the message. We must restore our power of deterrence."

Avi Issacharoff, a Middle East analyst, believes that the ceasefire as actually very positive for Israel, and basically consists of a surrender by Hamas.

Writing for the Times of Israel: "The conditions in the Egyptian proposal do not include any of the demands that Hamas has been repeating day and night in the last few days. As reported in the Egyptian media, there is no mention in the proposal of Hamas' often repeated demand for the release of the dozens of its operatives, freed in the 2011 Shalit deal, who were rearrested in recent weeks by Israeli forces in the West Bank, in the wake of the murders of three Israeli teenagers. There is also no concrete commitment regarding the opening of the Rafah border crossing or the payments of salaries for Hamas’ 40,000 clerks in Gaza."

"If they accept the Egyptian proposal, they will be perceived as having been heavily defeated in the latest round of conflict with Israel. A defeat that is close to a humiliation. Hamas’ problem is that if it rejects the Egyptian proposal it will find itself unprecedentedly isolated in the international community and in the Arab world. Cairo will accuse it of torpedoing the opportunity for calm, and Jerusalem will have the legitimacy to mount a ground offensive into Gaza. Thus the options open to Haniyeh, the military wing in Gaza, and political bureau chief Khaled Mashaal in Qatar range from bad to worse," Issacharoff added.

He concluded by explaining Egypt's take on the cease fire. "It seems obvious that there will be few tears shed in Cairo if Hamas is perceived as weakened by a ceasefire deal or if it is hit hard by Israel militarily. This much is clear from the discussions between Israeli and Egyptian officials, and in recent days from the tone of the Egyptian media. Egyptians are taking great delight in criticizing and denigrating Hamas. They are making Hamas pay for their support of Morsi, their partnership with the Muslim Brotherhood and their terror activities in Egypt.”

(Scroll down for video) A teacher was arrested after she slept with two students, according to police in Pennsylvania.

The teacher was charged with felony institutional sexual assault after she had sex with two 18-year-old students at home.

26-year-old Tiffany Leiseth, worked as a substitute English teacher at the New Brighton School District, northwest of Pittsburgh.

Leiseth taught both young men, but the alleged sex acts occurred after school had finished for the year.

Police launched an investigation after receiving an anonymous tip that the teacher had sent nude photos to each of the young men.

Investigators subsequently met with those students and found the nude photographs which the teacher sent to them, according to Moon Township Police Chief Leo McCarthy.

In interviews with police, each victim described how he had been invited to the house of Leiseth, was offered beer and had sex with the teacher.

The first student came to her house on the last day of school. The second student was invited to her home the next day, according to police.

Leiseth lost her job in the wake of the charges. However, her attorney claimed that since school was over, she was technically not their teacher.

However, officer McCarthy disagrees. “Regardless of their age, or if it is consensual, a teacher cannot have a sexual relationship with her student,” said McCarthy.

Because the victims are 18 years old, the police cannot charge Leiseth for sending nude photos to the students.

Aaron Dugmore
By: Devansh Dutt

(Scroll down for video) A family was horrified when they found their 9-year-old boy dead in his room.

The child of England, was found hanging a short time after being sent there as punishment for fighting with his younger brother.

Aaron Dugmore was found by his 16-year-old brother in his room in Erdington, Birmingham. He was taken to a hospital, but died the next day.

A coroner ruled Dugmore’s death an accident, and he could not be sure whether the child had intended to kill himself or if he was too young to know what he was doing.

At the time of his death, his mother, Kelly-Marie Dugmore, 30, and stepfather Paul Jones, 43, said he was bullied at school.

However, the court heard today that police had found no evidence of bullying at the Erdington Hall Primary School, where he was a new student.

His mother told the court that when she picked up her son from school he was arguing with another boy, and their was some pushing and shoving.

“He was not happy at that school,” his mother said. The court was told that the day Dugmore died, he had argued and kicked his younger brother, and was therefore sent to his room to calm down.

When his older brother went to check on him, Dugmore was found hanging. “He had never mentioned self harm before. I never thought a nine year old would know about it,” his mother said.

Dr. Nicholas Hunt, a forensic surgeon, told the court that Aaron had died of a hypoxic-ischemic brain injury. May he rest in peace.
