(Scroll down for video) A great-grandmother caused chaos in her neighborhood when she decided to settle a dispute with a shotgun.

A swat team was called after 90-year-old Eleouise Adcock, became angry at construction workers and armed herself with a 12 gauge shotgun.

Officers in Channelview, Texas, responded to a 911 call from construction workers, who said that they were being threatened with a gun. Deputies said that Adcock was angry because workers were digging dirt around her home.

Mrs. Adcock has lived near the San Jacinto river for more than four decades, but in recent years, a marine towing company has moved to either side of her house.

They bought properties along the waterfront, and destroyed the homes they bought to make room for their equipment.

Adcock is refusing to sell her property because her husband built it for her. She became irritated by the repeated attempts of the company to buy her home.

The standoff with the 90-year-old woman and officers lasted about four hours, before she began to relax enough for the swat team to get to her.

A sergeant engaged in a conversation with the grandmother while the SWAT team deployed around her house and finally took the gun.

Because of her age, Adcock was placed on a stretcher and taken to a hospital where she will receive a psychological evaluation. No charges are expected against the gun toting grandma.

Police officer gets his job back after blaming sexual enhancement cream for positive drug test

A police officer blamed his positive drug blood test on erection-enhancing cream.

The officer of Miami Beach, Florida, was allowed to have his job back despite testing positive for drugs.

Police detective Reinaldo Casas tested positive for cocaine, but insisted that the drug must have been absorbed in his blood through an erection enhancing cream, which he applied to the genitals.

His defense worked. An arbitrator ordered that Casas, who was fired last year due to the positive drug test, be reinstated with full back pay.

There is no evidence to suggest that Casas was aware that the cream contained a controlled substance, according to the arbitrator’s report, which was released Thursday. By law, police in Miami Beach must comply with the ruling.

The decision ends an embarrassing saga for Casas, who was a respected homicide investigator before he was fired last year. Casas had failed a random drug test administered by the police department.

Casas testified that a friend, Idilio Godinez, gave him the cream “with the advice that it would help his sexual relationships.”

Godinez testified that he got the sex enhancing cream from “an old Cuban guy.” Godinez said he did not know what the cream was made of, but he had tried it himself and it worked.

The substance was placed in unmarked containers and seemed to be homemade.

Disney claimed that Jews are stealing minerals from Palestinians of the West Bank.

Disney believes that the company violates both the 1970 Convention of The Hague and the Geneva Convention, by exploiting natural resources of occupied territories.

Disney is not actually withdrawing her investment.

Instead, she will donate the profits and funds equivalent to the value of her shares in the Dead Sea minerals cosmetics firm Ahava, to groups working to end this alleged illegal exploitation.

Palestinians however, are not happy with the boycott movement, saying that Israeli firms operating in the West Bank employ thousands of Arabs.

Israeli soldiers begin pulling out of Gaza as main objective of destroying tunnels is complete

Israeli soldier takes position inside Gaza home
By: Aryeh Savir

The Israeli military announced that it has completed its main objective of finding and destroying terror tunnels in Gaza, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The IDF has begun to partially withdraw its troops from parts of the Gaza Strip.

Having completed their specific missions, the forces are coming out of unnecessary areas.

Over the past 24 hours, the IDF struck 153 terror targets in the Gaza Strip, including tunnels, weapon manufacturing and storage facilities, and command and control centers.

Among the targets was a Hamas military wing facility that was used for research and development of weapon manufacturing located within the Islamic University. They were reportedly researching chemical weapons options. In addition, weapon caches and Hamas command and training facilities concealed within five mosques were targeted.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said last night at a press conference that the IDF will continue its military campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, for as long as needed and with as much force as necessary.

“From the beginning, we promised to return the quiet to Israel’s citizens, and we will continue to act until that aim is achieved. We will take as much time as necessary, and will exert as much force as needed,” Netanyahu said.

He further stressed that the IDF's redeployment did not indicate an end to Operation Protective Edge and that the IDF would continue to operate “only on the basis of security considerations.” “I can’t tell you how it’s going to develop,” he said. “We are keeping all options for action open.”

Last night, a special committee led by the IDF Chief Rabbi, announced the death of Lt. Hadar Goldin, 23, an infantry officer in the Givati Brigade, who was killed in battle in the Gaza Strip on Friday.

Medical, religious and other relevant factors were considered before making the official announcement. Lt. Goldin’s family was notified by Head of the IDF Personnel Directorate Maj. Gen. Orna Barbivai and Chief Military Rabbi Brig. Gen. Rafi Peretz.

Minister of Defense Ya'alon visited the family as well. “Prior to the decision, all medical considerations and religious observances, as well as additional relevant issues were taken into consideration,” the IDF statement read. As Goldin’s group was attacked, two other soldiers, Benaya Sarel and Liel Gidoni, were killed.

At the announcement, many of the hundreds rallying outside the Goldin home in a show of support for the family burst into tears on hearing the news.

Over the past 24 hours 86 rockets were fired at Israel, 58 rockets hit Israel and 6 were intercepted by the Iron Dome systems.

Hamas has fired 3,127 rockets towards Israel since the beginning of Operation Protective Edge.

U.S. Republicans currently running for office fly to Israel in show of support

Several U.S. Republicans who are currently running for office, arrived in Israel to show support for a country under fire, the Tazpit News Agency reported.

The candidates arrived in Israel this past week, to show support for IDF troops and Israeli civilians in the south living under Gaza rocket fire.

California’s Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, Ron Nehring, and Delaware’s Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, Kevin Wade, tweeted about their visits, as they experienced sirens and rocket attacks alongside Israelis.

“I’m here to lend my voice of support to Israel and against Hamas,” Nehring told the Tazpit News Agency. Nehring, who has visited Israel nine times and is currently in the country with a Jewish National Fund solidarity mission, visited wounded soldiers in hospitals and children in bomb shelters during the trip.

“There’s been a lot more rockets and sirens on this trip than previous ones,” commented Nehring. “I met with IDF soldiers who are part of the Iron Dome battery units which protect the region around Ben Gurion Airport, and I visited children staying in Sderot bomb shelters.”

Since late 2012, over 2,322 Qassam rockets have been fired towards Sderot.

“It’s really clear to me who the aggressors are here, and we need to speak about this with total clarity,” Nehring told the Tazpit News Agency. “Israelis and Palestinians are victims of Hamas, who are one of the bad actors fueling this region’s conflict.”

For Kevin Wade, who came to Israel on his own initiative, it was the Delaware Republican’s first visit to the Jewish state. He shared his impressions after visiting with the IDF soldiers along the Gaza border. “They have a very tough fight and they are facing serious tunnel warfare,” Wade stated. “These soldiers are young. For some, it’s the first time they are facing this kind of combat warfare. You can see in their eyes that they’ve been through a lot. I’m impressed with their will and morale to finish the job,” he told the Tazpit News Agency.

“I believe that you have to see the reality here yourself in order to understand what’s going on,” he added. “News briefs aren’t enough.”

Wade, who is an engineer, said that he wants to bring his wife on his next visit to Israel. “I haven’t had much of a chance to see Israel as a tourist on this trip,” he said. “It’s been a fact-finding mission and I will share what I’ve learned back home.”

Over 2,968 Gaza rockets have been fired at Israeli cities and communities since Operation Protective Edge began three weeks ago.

Hamas started the war with 15,000 active fighters, who rely mostly on anti-tank missiles and IEDs (improvised explosive devices) when fighting against IDF troops in Gaza and along the border.

In addition, Hamas has booby-trapped hundreds of homes in Gaza with improvised IEDs and has dug 31 known terror tunnels with one-third of them with shafts inside Israeli territory.

The IDF reports that it has killed over 1,000 Hamas fighters and has conducted 1,500 strikes against missile sites in Gaza, significantly weakening manufacturing and rocket-launching capabilities.

IDF troops are continuing to destroy and target Hamas’s combat units and rocket-making facilities as well as weapons storage sites.

A woman was arrested after she dumped her baby in a field after giving birth.

For 9 months, the woman of Ilawa, Poland, hid her unwanted pregnancy from friends, family and colleagues.

30-year-old Jolanta Czarnecka, went into labor at work and gave birth in a field during lunch break before returning to work and leaving her newborn daughter alone in the field.

When she returned to work, her manager saw blood on her clothes and refused to accept her claim that she was fine. The manager took her to a hospital, where doctors discovered that she gave birth.

Czarnecka told the doctor that the baby fell into the toilet at work and was flushed down the toilet by accident.

However, after detectives found no evidence of a birth in the bathroom at work, Czarnecka admitted to giving birth in the field.

Investigators found the abandoned baby two days after her birth. She was severely dehydrated and covered with insects.

“It is a miracle that she survived in those conditions for so long, it's just a miracle,” Dr. Barbara Chomik said.

Czarnecka was arrested and charged with attempted murder, and could face up to five years in prison.

A couple asked a judge to allow them to evict their son.

Their request was granted.

29-year-old Xu Qing of Beijing, China, has been taken to court by his parents because he refused to work. Since leaving university, he has been living an easy life and claiming that work was too boring.

He also moved his girlfriend into his room and demanded that his mother care for him. His mother agreed to cook and clean for him, as he is her only son.

His father found him a job, but Qing quit work after just three months, saying it was too boring.

He then began spending his days sleeping and surfing the Internet, and spent time with his girlfriend who is also unemployed.

When his parents had enough of his lazy ways, they gave him an ultimatum, saying that they would have to get a job or move out.

When he refused to work, they had no choice but to take him to court. They did and were successful. The court ruled that although Qing was their son, at the age of 29, they had no obligation to support him and that he may be asked to move.

For 60 days, Qing and his girlfriend refused to move out. His parents were forced to return to court seeking an eviction order to remove their son and his girlfriend from their property.
