(Scroll down for video) The Jewish community in Illinois, is concerned after finding anti-Semitic graffiti on a sidewalk.
The Carbondale Police Department said that it is investigating the graffiti found on the sidewalk last week.
Neighbors discovered the graffiti and called it "anti-Semitic." The graffiti was written with chalk.
Yochi Scheiman said that she never could have predicted stumbling into such hatred while walking with her two children along Elm Street.
She took a picture of the chalk graffiti and it was reported to the police. Police have interviewed several people about the graffiti, but so far, no arrests have been made.
A representative of the Jewish student organization SIU was notified of the incident in order to raise awareness about the crime.
