(Scroll down for video) A cat is alive thanks to a generous dog that donated its blood, doctors in Florida said.

The sick cat identified as Buttercup, is recovering at home after the procedure at the Marathon Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Sean Perry, who performed the transfusion, said that blood transfusions between species are not common in veterinary medicine, but they are an option in some cases.

Buttercup did not have much time to wait for a cat to donate blood, but the vet hospital had dog blood on hand. Cats and dogs have different blood types, Perry said.

However, dogs have a universal blood type and are larger, so their blood is often available in animal blood banks.

Buttercup’s owner brought it to the hospital after noticing that the pet was very lethargic and did not want to get up. Now, Buttercup is at home and doing very well.

The boy was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. “I'm devastated, what can I say?” The broken hearted father said.

Prosecutors called it an unfortunate accident and said that this incident could be the first of its kind in the world. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the incident.

The Feast of Sacrifice is celebrated by Muslims in honor of Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son, Ishmael. He sacrificed an animal instead.

The animal is usually cut into three parts - one third goes to the family, one third is given to friends and the rest is handed to the poor.

A teacher thought that by tattooing her student’s name on her chest he will agree to have sex with her, prosecutors in Australia said.

47-year-old Diane Brimble of Hamilton, Victoria, tried to have sex with the 10-year-old boy, but he refused her advances.

The boy's mother told a court that Brimble, a mother of eight children, turned her son into a sexual object. She had to move out of her community and the child was placed on antipsychotic medication.

The boy's father said that his son would not look at his parents as he believes that Brimble cast a spell on him, which allowed her to see and hear everything he does.

After being placed in another school, the teacher tried to enroll her own kids there so that she can stay close to the boy. The teacher also tattooed the boy’s name on her chest, believing that the this will convince him to have sex with her.

A jury convicted Brimble of one count of committing an indecent act on a child under 16 years old. She was acquitted of five other charges.

Kinyanjui tied the hands of his 57-year-old wife, Salome Wambui, with a rope and dragged her to the Lari police station in Kiambu.

According to neighbors, the incident took place on Saturday, after Kinyanjui came home from church. The couple began arguing, and when he was fed up with his wife’s talking, he tied her hands with rope and dragged her about five kilometers to the police station.

The two reportedly boarded a scooter, which took them to a shopping center located about one kilometer from the Lari police station.

Kinyanjui said that his wife became too difficult and spoke to much. He did not like that she used foul language against him.

Wambui told police that her husband had married another woman and in order to support his new family, Kinyanjui wants to sell some of their land. She opposes the sale.

Kinyanjui said that he married the second woman because Wambui became too difficult to deal with.

“I have another woman who listens to me, but I love my first family and our children. I will never abandon them,” Kinyanjui said.

However, Kinyanjui said that his wife is the one who causes problems in the home, because she makes up lies about him to church leaders and asks them to excommunicate him.

“She also does other things that breach the peace at home,” Kinyanjui told police when he asked them to take legal action against her.

Protesters were holding up a huge sign saying: “Stop whining, murderous crybabies,” as a message to the Denver police officers who were accused of using excessive force against inmates.

The tension has been brewing for months as the city is conducting a top to bottom review of the department.

In one incident, they paid $3.25 million to former prisoner Jamal Hunter, who was choked by a deputy. He was also beaten and scalded with hot liquid by other inmates and deputies did not stop the attack.

The family of former inmate Marvin Booker, sued the city and five deputies after the street preacher died while in police custody. Her was handcuffed, shocked with a Taser, and beaten while being held in a chokehold.

Deputy Sheriff Michael Britton and Sgt. Charles Denovellis, said that the deputies are afraid to do their jobs.

However, the community is not sympathetic with the officers and said that they will continue to closely monitor the actions of the officers to stop police brutality against citizens.

Michael Reddy taking an envelope
By: Feng Qian

(Scroll down for video) A Police detective is being investigated after he was seen on video stealing a man’s money at 7-Eleven.

The incident began when a man named Robert Simpson of Pennsylvania, accidentally left an envelope containing $220 on the 7-Eleven counter in Pittsburgh.

As Simpson walked away, detective Michael Reddy walked up to the counter, took the envelope, looked inside and shoved it into his pocket without saying anything to his partner or to the store employee.

Soon after, Simpson came back into the store and asked if anyone has seen his white envelope. Detective Reddy, a 14 year veteran who was still at the store, did not say anything. He kept the money and left the store.

Only after Reddy got to the precinct after his shift and was questioned by his supervisor over the money, did he return the envelope.

Now, the victim is angry after a judge has dismissed the theft charges against the officer.

The judge ruled that if Reddy would have been an ordinary citizen, then a theft charge would stick. However, the judge said that prosecutors were not able to prove that the officer intended to keep the money.

Detective Reddy remains on administrative leave pending "further internal review," Public Safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler said.
