(Scroll down for video) A Burger King employee said that she was shocked to find a bag stuffed with hundreds of $100 bills.
Sahista Bakawla - who is the assistant manager at the San Jose, California, store - was the first to see the blue backpack that was apparently abandoned.
She said that she cleaned the tables several times, but the bag remained there. At 3:00 p.m., she decided to check out the mysterious bag.
She took it to the back of the store and called the owner. He opened it, hoping to find some identification or telephone number.
Bakawla and store owner Altaf Chaus, saw a lot of money. Chaus immediately called the police. Officers arrived at the restaurant and opened the bag.
Along with the money, they found candy, some marijuana and a bank deposit slip. Police are now working with the bank to find the owner of the bag.
