Tattoo shop gives free tattoos for women with Down syndrome

A tattoo shop in New Zealand, has published a photo on Facebook, showing an artist giving a woman who suffers from Down syndrome, a free tattoo.

44-year-old Jason Ward, a tattoo artist at Muscle And Ink Tattoo in Hamilton, said that he applies a temporary tattoo to a woman with Down syndrome every week.

Suzie Barry comes to his shop every Friday, and Ward prepares the skin to give her the real tattoo experience. Ward uses a sticker to apply the tattoo on her skin, and also uses a spray gun and plastic gloves.

Ward treats Barry like a real customer, sitting her down at the table, stenciling her skin and giving her the full tattoo experience.

Barry brings her own stick-on tattoos, and Ward does not charge her for his work. Ward, a father of five children, said that Barry has been coming to his shop every Friday for the past four months.

The photo of Barry getting a tattoo has since gone viral on the Internet.

Police officer apologizes for raping his mother-in-law

A police officer was arrested on charges of rape after allegedly raping his mother-in-law, police in Nigeria said.

The Jigawa State Police said that the officer is being held by the Security and Civil Defence Corps of Nigeria, after being accused of raping his mother-in-law.

During questioning, the suspect admitted to the allegations, and he issued a written apology to his father-in-law for raping his wife.

The suspect, who has not been identified, will be brought before the Jigawa Magistrate's Court for a bail hearing.

In June, Mohammed Yassin Yusef, 32, of the United Kingdom, attacked his mother-in-law, Amoe Seline Stevens, at his home in north London, when he was alone with her.

Stevens, 64, had previously suffered a stroke, leaving her mobility and speech severely impaired. Yusef locked himself in the bedroom with his mother-in-law and sexually assaulted her.

When the woman’s caregiver came home, Yusef fled from her room. However, the caregiver observed that Yusuf’s hands and shirt were covered in blood.

When the caregiver entered the bedroom she found Stevens bleeding and slumped into her recliner. Stevens was taken to a hospital, but she died hours later after multiple internal injuries, and Yusuf was accused of her murder.

Detectives believe that Yusuf had assaulted his mother-in-law on multiple occasions, but because of her disability she was unable to tell her family members.

In a statement from the family, Stevens said that they were devastated by the death of their beloved Amoe.

Woman slashes her dog to gain access to painkillers

A woman was arrested on charges of animal torture after allegedly slashing her dog with a blade in order to gain access to painkillers, police in Kentucky said.

23-year-old Heather Pereira admitted to cutting her 4-year-old Golden Retriever three times in hopes of getting Tramadol, a narcotic pain reliever.

Police launched an investigation when Pereira took her dog to the Jefferson County Animal Hospital for treatment, and again to the Elizabethtown Animal Hospital.

When she returned to Elizabethtown Animal Hospital for a second time, a veterinarian became suspicious of the dog’s injuries.

Pereira was arrested and charged with three counts of torturing a cat or a dog and three counts of attempting to obtain a controlled substance by misrepresentation.

She is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center, on bail of $5,000.

Teacher arrested at school for kissing 14-year-old student he befriended on Facebook

A teacher was arrested, charged and convicted of sexual assault after sexually assaulting a student at his school, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.

Now, the teaching assistant who pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a 14-year-old schoolgirl, was sentenced to 18 months in prison at the Isleworth Crown Court.

28-year-old Kevin Sempers, a learning support assistant in Ferndale Crescent, Uxbridge, was employed at the Uxbridge High School, when police received an allegation of sexual activity with a student.

He was arrested at the school later that day. Sempers was also an athlete who competed in the Commonwealth games.

The relationship, which included kissing and sexually touching the girl, began after the schoolgirl contacted Sempers on his Facebook account.

The offenses took place outside of the school and not during school hours.

Detective Constable Andrea Lenihan from the Met's Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse Investigation Team said: "Sempers seriously abused his position of trust. As a teaching assistant and an athlete he should have been setting his students a good example rather than taking advantage of their vulnerability. His action will have a devastating impact on his career."

Man stabs his pregnant girlfriend in the chest because she dumped him

A man was arrested, charged and convicted of attempted murder after stabbing his girlfriend because she dumped him, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.

Now, a Birmingham court sentenced the man who was unable to accept that his relationship with his girlfriend was over, to 16 years in prison.

32-year-old Leon Harrison of Swinford Road in Selly Oak, repeatedly stabbed the 33-year-old woman, who was in the early stages of pregnancy, when she agreed to meet him in Stirchley so he could see their other child.

Harrison stabbed the woman four times in the chest, arm and leg. One of the wounds pierced a cardiac vessel, requiring open heart surgery.

At the time of the attack, their nine-month-old daughter was in her mother’s car. Following the stabbing, Harrison went on the run for two days before turning himself in to the police.

Harrison pleaded guilty to attempted murder, and he was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 16 years.

Man who burglarized wrong home gets caught while returning stolen computer

A man in the United Kingdom, successfully burglarized a home, but he was caught while returning a computer to the crime scene.

The thief who raided the wrong house, was arrested when he went back to the victim’s home to return the stolen laptop.

41-year-old Gareth James was looking to take revenge on someone who owed him $600 for a construction job, when he entered the property in Brecon, Wales.

James took a laptop from the home, but was stunned when he turned on the device. He realized that it actually belonged to someone else.

When he realized that he burglarized the wrong home, James decided to return the stolen computer to its rightful owner.

The laptop belonged to 23-year-old Benjamin Price, a student, and when he entered his home to return the computer, the student called police.

James said that he did not plan to keep the computer of the person who owed him money. He just wanted to hold it until the debt was cleared.

James pleaded guilty to burglary at the Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court. A judge gave him a four month suspended jail sentence.

Couple buys gun at Walmart and then robs store with it

A man and a woman of Massachusetts, purchased a gun at Walmart, before the man returned to the store, threatened an employee with the gun and made off with nearly $9,000.

25-year-old Molly K. McKeen of 6 Knox Street, and 37-year-old Cortez D. Palmer of 68 Merrick Street, allegedly entered a Walmart in Oxford, and made several purchases, including a pellet gun.

Surveillance video shows McKeen using a credit card to make purchases.

The two left the store, but Palmer returned with a black handgun, which authorities believe was the pellet gun he just purchased.

Palmer is accused of approaching the customer service desk and telling a clerk to look down. He showed the clerk his gun and demanded cash.

He left with $8,681, police said. McKeen has been charged with armed robbery.

Palmer faces several charges of unarmed robbery and one count of armed robbery in connection with numerous robberies in Worcester and other towns in the area.

Worcester Police said six robberies were linked to one or both suspects. Palmer allegedly robbed several supermarkets, a Walmart and a Dunkin' Donuts.

Police believe that the couple is behind robberies in Millbury, Auburn and Shrewsbury.

Police dog bites officer’s behind while raiding man’s home for threatening woman with gun because she called him a doormat

A police officer suffered injuries after a police dog bit his behind during a raid, a court in Australia heard.

28-year-old Drew Francis Thompson of Canberra, is accused of arming himself with a gun, hiding in the apartment of his former lover and unlawfully confining her for three hours.

Thompson told the ACT Supreme Court, that the woman loved him until she returned from an overseas internship with the World Health Organization.

He still wanted to be with her and met her at Dickson, where she spoke badly about him. Thompson said that she called him "simple" and a "doormat."

She also said that he was just a dating experiment.

Thompson, who became angry, took a gun and hid behind a door in the woman’s bedroom to show her what it's like to break someone's trust.

Three hours later, she persuaded the man to leave. The woman went to the police, who executed a search warrant at Thompson’s home.

During the raid, a police dog that accompanied them bit one officer in the behind. Thompson denied the allegations, saying that his girlfriend made up the entire story.

The woman admitted that she offered Thompson chocolates and candy while he was in the house. She also let him put his hand on her hand and leg, and was worried about being a good hostess.

Miss Bumbum in serious condition after botched plastic surgery

A beautiful model was hospitalized after having plastic surgery, which went very wrong.

The model became famous after she won second place in the Miss Bumbum competition in Brazil.

She is fighting for her life in the intensive care unit at a hospital in Porto Alegre, as a result of the botched cosmetic surgery.

27-year-old Andressa Urach had two types of “body fillers,” hydrogel and PMMA, injected into the upper legs to fill out the thighs and lift her bottom.

The PMMA was absorbed by her body, leaving her with a serious infection in the legs, which caused the tissue to rot. Sadly, doctors might have to amputate one or both legs if the infection continues eating at her bones.

After an advanced infection set in, Urach was hospitalized and has undergone two procedures to drain the hydrogel of each leg. Unfortunately, these procedures have not been successful, and she went into shock.

After the second surgery, the wounds became infected and Urach is currently being sedated, her mother Marisete De Favari said.

For now, Urach remains in intensive care and in serious condition.

Earlier, Urach made headlines when she claimed that she had an affair with football player Cristiano Ronaldo, which he vehemently denied.

Homeless teen arrested for breaking into woman’s home and raping her

A teenager was arrested and is being held on $5 million bail for raping a woman.

The homeless teen is accused of sexually assaulting the woman at knifepoint.

18-year-old Dwayne Fain of Akron, Ohio, is accused of rape, kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, felonious assault and tampering with evidence.

According to police, Fain appeared at the 31-year-old woman’s door around 6:45 p.m.

The home is located on the 800 block of North Jenkins Boulevard. The teen was wearing a ski mask and a cap during the attack.

Fain broke into the woman's apartment, threatened her with a knife and raped her, police said.

Fain then forced the woman to take a shower, put her clothes in a bag and fled the scene. The woman suffered cuts to her face, neck and legs, and was treated for her injuries at a hospital, police said.

Officers searched the neighborhood and finally found Fain in a nearby apartment. He was arrested, and is being held in the Summit County Jail on $5 million bail.

Good-looking teacher arrested for sleeping with student

(Scroll down for video) A 7th grade teacher was arrested for having a sexual relationship with her student.

The teacher of Mississippi, is facing sexual assault charges after allegedly sleeping with her student, according to the Coahoma County Sheriff's Department.

23-year-old Kristen Damon was arrested at her home, and remains in jail. Her bail set at $25,000.

Damon taught seventh grade English at the Higgins Middle School, through a program called Teach For America.

Teach For America is a national teacher corps of recent college graduates, who commit to teaching in under-resourced urban and rural public schools.

She was also a soccer coach at the Clarksdale High School, where she met her 17-year-old victim.

Damon, who was a teacher for two years, has been fired from her job.

If found guilty, Damon could lose her teaching license and faces up to 30 years in prison. She would also have to register as a sex offender.

McDonald's customers and cat attacked with pepper spray after man walked in with service cat on leash (video)

(Scroll down for video) A man who uses a cat as his service animal, caused a disturbance at McDonald’s, during which pepper spray was used, police in Washington said.

Seattle Police said that the incident began when 42-year-old Joseph Malloy, entered the McDonald’s, with what he calls his service cat.

The cat, Tommy Girl, was on a leash. The man was told to leave because he had caused problems in the past. When he refused, an argument broke out and pepper spray was used.

No one was arrested, police who responded to the scene said. At least one person was taken to a hospital, and one employee was treated at the scene.

Employees of the McDonald’s located on Third Avenue and Pine Street, said that the man had been banned from the store for bad behavior, which was unrelated to his cat.

The man claims that his pet is not being recognized as a service animal by McDonald's.

14-year-old girl hosts large alcohol and drug fueled party at home while her mother was busy on the phone

A teen girl was slapped with a summons after police caught her holding an alcohol fueled party at home while her mother was busy taking on the phone, police in Connecticut said.

New Canaan Police said that officers had to shut down the drinking party that the 14-year-old girl hosted in her home.

The incident began when police received a call just before 9:00 p.m. from a neighbor who saw several young men walking down Carter Street, holding alcoholic beverages.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a number of teenagers fleeing from the girl’s house and into the woods. Inside the house, they found the 14-year-old girl hosting the party for about 55 teens.

The girl told officers that she had invited just a few friends, but others learned of the party through social networks and came to her house with alcohol.

Officers found eight boxes, filled with 30 cans of beer.

They also found several empty bottles of wine and smelled marijuana.

The mother of the teen told police that she was on the phone in her room and did not realize what her daughter was doing.

Woman sentenced to jail for having loud sex at her home (video)

(Scroll down for video) A woman was sentenced to jail after she ignored a judge’s order banning her from having loud sex at her home, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.

The incident began when neighbors of Caroline and Steve Cartwright, called the Sunderland Police at least 30 times, to complain about loud noise during sex.

Cartwright, 53, was issued an anti-social behavior order (Asbo) banning her from screaming, yelling or vocalizing during sex. A judge issued the order after she violated a noise abatement order five times.

Now, she received a 12 week jail sentence for violating the Asbo order. Cartwright however, said that she will continue to have loud sex.

Cartwright, who has been married to her husband for over 30 years, said that when she has sex she just goes with the flow.

Cartwright recently rescheduled her sex session for mornings, but her neighbors were still dissatisfied.

“Real criminals should be put in jail, instead they focus on people having loud sex,” Cartwright said.

Registered sex offender sentenced to life in prison for molesting 10-year-old girl

A man will never be able to hurt a child again after he was sentenced to life in prison for molesting a child.

59-year-old Herman Altheus Jacks of Jacksonville, Florida, was sentenced on Monday, to life in prison.

He was found guilty of one count of lewd or lascivious molestation. Jacks was convicted of this charge earlier this month, and was now sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

The victim, who is now 17-years-old, told police that Jacks had touched her inappropriately. The investigation revealed that the abuse took place when the victim was just 10 years old.

This is not the first time that Jacks has been in trouble. In 2002, he was ordered to register as a sex offender after being convicted on a charge of lewd or lascivious battery.

Man jailed for ripping 4-year-old girl’s intestine by punching her really hard

A man was sentenced to jail after he viciously punched a young girl in her stomach.

The man of the United Kingdom, beat the 4-year-old girl so hard in the stomach that he ripped her large intestine.

27-year-old Craig Carth was sentenced to 13 years behind bars after being convicted of the horrific attack, which occurred in Tooting, London.

The girl, who was not identified because she is a minor, was rushed to the St. George’s Hospital, after she became sick and started vomiting. Doctors found two holes in the front wall of the intestine.

She underwent emergency surgery, and spent several days in intensive care.

Carth was arrested along with another man and two women. He was charged after injuring the child 48 hours before she was taken to the hospital.

Carth was convicted of causing serious bodily injury at the Kingston Crown Court.

They other man and two women were found not guilty.

“This is a substantial sentence, and I am pleased that Carth will now be in prison for a significant amount of time,” Detective Sergeant Tariq Farooqi said.

“Had it not been for the excellence pediatric surgeon and staff at St. George’s Hospital, this young girl may have died. Thankfully, she has made a full recovery,” he added.

Newborn baby survives being buried alive by her grandmother

The baby in China, has survived being buried alive after her parents thought she was born dead.

The baby, who has not been named, was born to Lu Xiaoyun and her husband He Yong, on their farm in Liaoning.

Xiaoyun believes that she was four months pregnant when she went into labor while working on the family’s farm.

Xiaoyun, who also has a 7-year-old daughter with her husband, experienced sudden sharp stomach pains and thought she was having a miscarriage.

Xiaoyun called her husband, who rushed back from work, to find her in a pool of blood. He called for help. Xiaoyun was taken to a hospital, but her husband told the ambulance personnel not to worry about the baby because she was dead.

Meanwhile, Xiaoyun’s mother buried the baby under a tree in her yard.

A doctor at the hospital asked about the baby, and said that the body must be properly checked for signs of life.

The husband rushed to the farm, and was surprised to learn that his mother-in-law had already buried the girl.

He ran to dig up the baby, and found that she was breathing. He took his newborn daughter to the hospital, where doctors established that Xiaoyun had given birth in her six month of pregnancy and not four.

The baby is being treated at the hospital, and is expected to survive.

Man caught red-handed raping woman suffering from Down syndrome

A man was arrested on charges of rape after allegedly raping a woman, who is suffering from Down syndrome, police in Nigeria said.

Ogun State Police said that they arrested 32-year-old Saheed Egbeleye, after being caught red-handed raping the 21-year-old woman.

According to the police investigation, Egbeleye lured the woman to a room and raped her before being caught in the act. The Abeokuta Chief Magistrate’s Court heard that the incident unfolded on Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

Chief Justice Anthony Araba remanded the suspect into custody and was denied bail.

In July, four people were arrested and charged with numerous felonies after they held a mentally disabled woman and her daughter as sex slaves, according to police reports in Ohio.

Columbus Police said that three suspects, who are accused of enslaving a mentally disabled woman and her daughter, beat her, denied her food, sexually assaulted her, threatened her with dogs and snakes, and hit her severely enough to warrant a visit to a hospital.

The federal charges also allege that the three forced the woman and her child to sleep in unsafe and unhealthy conditions in a house in Ashland, which is located 80 miles northeast of Columbus.

They are also accused of restricting access to a bathroom, punishing them if they were dirty, forcing them to eat dog food, and ordering them to crawl on the floor with a dog collar.

Jordie Callahan, Jessica Hunt, and Dezerah Silsby, were charged with five counts, including forced labor, acquiring a controlled substance by fraud and theft of government benefits.

A fourth suspect, Daniel Brown, was charged after being accused of hitting the woman in the face, knocking her hands on a door, kicking the woman in the hip, and breaking her hand with a stone, forcing her to seek treatment and receive pain medication.

Bride breaks up with groom during wedding after sister-in-law kisses him

A wedding ended in chaos after a woman kissed the groom in front of his bride.

The wedding, which took place in Uttar Pradesh, India, ended in a big fight between the bride and groom’s families.

According to witnesses, the groom's sister-in-law was excited that her brother-in-law was tying the knot. She jumped up and kissed him.

The bride and groom had met on social networks and fell in love. After getting approval from their respective families, the couple decided to take the union a step forward and get married.

However, the bride and her family became angry when they saw the woman kissing the groom, who is the brother of her husband. She also pulled the groom to the dance floor.

A brawl erupted between the two families during the wedding, where almost 500 guests were present.

The bride's family members beat the groom’s family members and then held the groom captive.

Shakuntala Bharati, the mayor of Aligarh where the wedding took place, was present at the scene when the fight broke out.

“The groom had been confined by the family of the bride.
He was in their custody. Although it was his personal matter, I had to intervene to free the poor man,” Bharati said.

“Both are from very good and educated families so their behavior was shocking. The groom left the wedding hall without the bride,” he added.

Bharati confirmed that although the police responded to the scene to resolve the matter, the families decided not to file charges.
