New dating app ‘Scissr’ allows lesbians to find one another through GPS technology

A new lesbian dating app was released that will allow consumers to find mates through GPS technology.

“Scissr” was designed by lesbians for lesbians, and is a perfect app for everyone, the company states on its website.

36-year-old Allison Ullrich, the creator of the app, said that the free service is like “Grindr,” only classier. Ullrich said that she created the app after finding it difficult to use other dating apps.

Ullrich said that lesbians have a hard time finding like-minded women as there is no area where lesbians live together. Ullrich said that she was confident that the millions of lesbians in the U.S., would be interested in using Scissr.

“Finally. It's time for a lesbian dating app where women can connect, share and chat about their local cultural interests and relationship needs. Women wanting romance, a date, conversation or networking can download the mobile app for free. Designed by lesbians for lesbians desiring to increase their connections with other amazing women. Scissr is tailor made for all,” the company wrote on its website.

Young man sentenced to jail for stealing a goat

A young man was arrested, charged and convicted of theft after being accused of stealing a goat, prosecutors in Nigeria said.

Now, 20-year-old Joshua Musa of Aku, Mararaba, has been sentenced to serve 12 weeks in jail.

Musa was charged with trespassing and theft, and he pleaded guilty to the charges as part of a plea bargain agreement with prosecutors.

The judge who sentenced Musa, gave the defendant an option of a N10,000 ($53) fine instead of serving his jail sentence. The judge also ordered the defendant to pay the victim, Stephen Alune, N10,000 ($53) in compensation.

Alune told investigators that Musa, broke into his house while he was away and stole the goat.

In August, a man who was in the mood for some meat, was caught on surveillance cameras stealing a huge cow by stuffing it into a small car.

A video shows the single cow minding its own business in a driveway.

A small white four-door car pulls up next to the cow. A man comes out, opens the back door of the vehicle and approaches the cow.

He pushes the cow into the back seat. Somehow, the thief manages to push the whole big cow into the car before shutting the door.

The thief gets back into the driver’s seat and drives away with his loot. The video appears to have been recorded in Russia. Some people questioned the thief why he used such a small car to steal the cow.

23-year-old woman kills herself by drinking poison after fighting with her younger sister

A young woman committed suicide after fighting with her younger sister, police in Nigeria said.

The Bayelsa State Police said that the 23-year-old woman, identified as Esther, ingested a dangerous insecticide known as Sniper, after fighting with her younger sister on Friday.

Esther was discovered at 6:00 p.m., by a passerby after ingesting the substance. She was rushed to a hospital, where she died of internal injuries.

According to the police investigation, the victim was involved in a domestic dispute with her sister before leaving to an isolated area, where she drank the deadly insecticide.

She left a suicide note in the nearby grass.

In August, a woman claimed that she dumped her boyfriend because he was unable to satisfy her in bed. Now, the man was so distraught over the break up that he committed suicide, police in Nigeria said.

Delta State Police said that 37-year-old Okechukwu Michael, hanged himself on a tree behind his house on Sunday. According to investigators, Michael left behind a suicide note.

His friends also reported that Michael threatened to commit suicide in the past if his girlfriend ever dumped him. The woman complained about the inability of the victim to satisfy her in bed.

In the letter Michael wrote: “I cannot stand that you left me. I need to return to Mother Earth.”

Teen killed while defending his twin brother during robbery

(Scroll down for video) A teenager was shot dead while defending his twin brother during a robbery.

The teenage boys of Chicago, Illinois, were three days shy of their 16th birthday when the tragedy struck.

The incident took place on Saturday afternoon, when identical twins Demario and Demacio Bailey, walked to a basketball match at their school in the Englewood neighborhood.

4 teenagers approached them and demanded they hand over their belongings.

One of the teens jumped on Demacio, and he fell to the ground. Demario tried to get the robber off his brother. That is when one of the assailants pulled a gun and fired.

Demacio managed to escape, but returned to find his brother had been shot in the chest and died of his injuries.

Police arrested 17-year-old Carlos Johnson. He was charged with first-degree murder. He will be tried as an adult.

He was also charged with robbery with a firearm and attempted robbery with a firearm. He is being held without bail.

Two other 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were also charged with his murder.

Couple forces their boy to sleep in backyard for 6 weeks for not showing respect (video)

(Scroll down for video) A couple was arrested on charges of child abuse after allegedly forcing their boy to sleep in a backyard for 6 weeks, police in Arizona said.

When the couple was questioned by the Chandler Police Department, they complained that the boy was not showing respect.

The 16-year-old boy told investigators that he was kicked out of the home and had to spend 6 weeks outside even when it rained and during dust storms.

The boy also said that he had to use the backyard as a toilet. The incident came to light when the boy left the backyard and went to the house of his uncle.

The uncle called police to report the abuse.

The child's father, 44-year-old Brian Romine, told police that his son tapered with containers containing cake toppings, which were stored in the home.

The son denied the allegations. The boy said that his father gave him a sleeping bag and a pillow, and told him to sleep on lawn chair in the backyard.

The boy’s stepmother, 45-year-old Shelly Romine, said that the teen constantly lies and has behavioral issues. The mother admitted to taking a lot of drugs to deal with her son’s issues.

The state took custody of the child. The parents were booked into jail on charges of child abuse.

Police officer kills man for approaching him with a spoon (video)

(Scroll down for video) A police officer is under investigation after shooting a man who was armed with a spoon, police in Texas said.

The Texas Rangers said that the officer fired his weapon and killed a burglary suspect.

Brent Lawing of the Texarkana Police Department, fatally shot 35-year-old Dennis Grigsby on Monday, after a homeowner called the police dispatcher to report a robbery.

When the officer arrived at the scene, the suspect was in the garage of the home. The officer confronted Grigsby in the dark garage of the house and shot him.

The officer told investigators that the suspect aggressively advanced toward him with a 7-inch long metal object that looked like a knife.

The officer ordered Grigsby to stop, but he ignored his pleas. After shooting Grigsby, the officer discovered that the object was a spoon.

The suspect's mother, Evelyn Grigsby, said that she and her son lived across the street from the house and had a mental illness.

Man killed after tire swing slams into his face while having fun with his niece at playground

A man was killed by a tire swing while having fun with his niece at a children’s playground, police in New York said.

The New York Police Department said that the tire swing, which is comprised of a hard plastic molded over steel, slammed into the face of 39-year-old Aleim Perkins.

Perkins of New York City, was having fun with 6-year-old Leela, at Tompkins Square Park on Monday around 3:30 p.m., when the accident unfolded.

According to the police investigation, Perkins aggressively pushed the swing several times before it hit him in the face. The blow knocked him unconscious, leaving him bleeding from the mouth.

He was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital. Landscape Structures, the company that operates the park, said that they are investigating the incident.

“Our condolences go out to the loved ones impacted by Monday’s incident at Tompkins Square Park. At this time, Landscape Structures is working with the city to gather information regarding details of the incident," a company spokeswoman said in a statement.

Naked man claims he is Jesus before burning down church (video)

(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on charges of arson after allegedly burning down a church, police in Georgia said.

Roswell Police said that they arrested 24-year-old Juan Ramirez, after officers found him naked near the burned down church.

Police said that Ramirez admitted to setting the church on fire.

According to the police investigation, officers arrived at the church, which is located on Old Alabama Road near Barrington Drive East, after receiving a call about Ramirez walking around naked.

Officers found Ramirez, and he told them that he was trying to contact the Indian gods. Ramirez claimed he is Jesus. It was just 36 degrees outside at the time of the incident.

The Epiphany Byzantine Catholic Church suffered damage as a result of the fire.

Man chains his 7-year-old son to bed for long hours while he was away from home (video)

(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested, charged and convicted of child abuse after chaining his young son to a bed while being out of the house for work, prosecutors in Utah said.

Now, 29-year-old Sammie Hodges of Logan, has been sentenced to spend 30 days in jail, 30 days of house arrest and was ordered to complete 80 hours of community service.

Hodges was charged with four counts of child abuse after police entered his house and found his 7-year-old son chained to a bed.

The chain was locked around the child’s ankle and the other end was locked around the bed. However, the chain was long enough so that the child was able to get to a bathroom and within reach of food and water.

Hodges told investigators that he chained his child in order to keep him safe during the absence.

Hodges will also be required to complete anger management and parenting classes, and comply with the orders of the Division of Children and Families.

The child has been in foster care since his father’s arrest.

Hodges currently enjoys unsupervised visits with his child, and will be allowed to have overnight visits by the end of the month.

Man seen pleasuring himself on public buses while staring at female passengers

Police are looking to arrest a man on charges of indecent exposure after allegedly pleasuring himself on two public buses while stating at female passengers, police in the United Kingdom said.

The Metropolitan Police Service (MET) said that they have received surveillance videos, which show the man inappropriately touching himself on bus 205 as it traveled through Whitechapel about 8:45 p.m.

The same man pleasured himself while looking at a female passenger on bus 21 about 10:20 a.m., as he traveled to Lewisham on Old Street.

When the woman told the bus driver, the man got off the bus on King William Street in London. MET released images of the alleged suspect, and pleaded to the public for information.

In an appeal for witnesses to come forward with information, a police spokesperson said: "It is believed that this male spends most of his day and night traveling on buses in London."

The suspect was described as a black, medium build with facial hair, aged between 25 and 50, and about 5 feet 10 inches tall. The suspect was wearing a black beanie hat, a brown coat, a dark sweater, jeans and sneakers.

Popular radio DJ accused of raping 24 boys

A popular radio DJ was arrested, charged and convicted of rape after raping numerous young boys, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.

Now, former BBC DJ Christopher Denning has been sentenced to serve 13 years in prison for sexually abusing children over a period of 40 years.

Denning, one of the founding DJs of Radio 1, was convicted of 40 offenses against 24 children, aged 9 to 16. Judge Alistair McCreath slammed Denning for corrupting so many boys at a critical stage in their development.

The court heard that the 73-year-old DJ used his fame to lure kids to his home. One victim testified that the DJ kept a large stash of pornographic material in his home.

The court also heard that Denning often recorded his assaults on video, and warned one of his victims that if he makes problems, photos of the sex sessions will be thrown all over his neighborhood.

Denning previously served prison sentences in the U.K., Czech Republic and Slovakia for sex crimes with young boys.

Woman catches her brother raping his pregnant sister-in-law

A man was arrested on charges of rape after allegedly raping his brother's pregnant wife in her home, police in Zimbabwe said.

Chitungwiza Police said that they arrested 19-year-old Moyo Shingirai, on three counts of rape.

According to the police investigation, Moyo forcefully had sex with his pregnant sister-in-law several times in the victim’s home.

At first, Moyo asked his sister-in-law for sex, but she rejected his advances. One day, the 23-year-old woman was alone in her kitchen when the Moyo entered and locked the door.

Moyo threw his sister-in-law to the ground and raped her. Another day, the woman was in her kitchen preparing food when her brother-in-law entered and tried to attack her.

She attempted to fight him off, but Moyo overpowered her and raped his sister-in-law again. In a third incident, Moyo entered the victim's bedroom as she was laying in bed and raped her.

However, this time, Moyo was caught in the act by his sister.

Moyo however, denied the allegations, saying that he and his sister-in-law had a consensual relationship after she seduced him.

Man fatally stabs his brother for living as a woman

Police are looking to arrest a man on charges of murder after allegedly killing his brother because he lived as a woman, police in Zimbabwe said.

Bulawayo Police said that 33-year-old Samukeliso Sithole, a man who posed as a female athlete and competed in national and international games, was killed last night by his brother after an ugly dispute over his choice of dress.

Sithole was stabbed in the chest by his brother Kelvin Sibanda, and died in the Mpilo Hospital around 8:00 p.m.

According to the police investigation, doctors and all those present in the hospital room, were surprised to discover that the athlete was actually a man.

Sithole’s broken-hearted boyfriend fled from the hospital after medical staff informed him that his girlfriend was a man. Sithole’s real name is Mduduzi Sibanda.

Sithole was a successful athlete and had in recent years accumulated great wealth. Sithole competed in international events as a woman.

The athlete, who was multi-talented, competed in several different games, winning gold and silver medals. Sithole was exposed as a fraud by her teammates after he accidentally undressed in their presence.

Four athletes testified in court against Sithole. Sithole was convicted of impersonation and causing psychological harm to his teammates.

Sithole claimed that she was born with male and female private parts, but doctors denied her claims. Six witnesses, including two doctors, told the court that the athlete was not a male and female.

He received a four year prison sentence. When Sithole was released, he continued living as a woman.

Woman downloads child pornography on home computer to frame her estranged husband

A woman was jailed after she attempted to have her estranged husband arrested for child pornography.

The woman of Pennsylvania, downloaded child pornography on the family’s home computer in a failed attempt to get her husband arrested, State Police said.

Meri Jane Woods, 42, was ordered to spend between six months to two years in county jail for trying to frame her estranged husband.

Woods went to police, and said that her former husband sexually abused her children. She also claimed that he had downloaded child pornography on their home computer.

Woods of Cherry Hill Township, showed investigators the computer, which contained the illegal photos, and claim that her husband downloaded it.

During the investigation, officers found that the lewd files on the computer were downloaded just three days before Woods went to the police.

They also learned that Woods had kicked out her husband of their home four weeks before the files were downloaded by serving him with a protection order.

Woods was charged with one count of felony sexual abuse of children by having a computer with graphic images on it. She also was hit with 40 counts of lying about the abuse and framing her husband.

Mother punishes son by dressing him as girl and posting the photos on Facebook

The mother of three children, faces charges after forcing her 10-year-old son to put on a dress and makeup in order to humiliate him as a form of discipline, police in Florida said.

Christle Prado, 34, and her roommate, Keith Driscoll, 26, of Winter Garden, were arrested and charged with cruelty to a child and inflicting mental harm to a child.

Police learned of the abuse after the boy’s uncle saw a picture of him dressed as a girl with a blue dress and purple bow in his short hair.

The photo was published on Facebook, and the boy was seen crying. The family member reported the abuse to police, who began investigating the incident.

The mother claimed that her roommate, Driscoll, who is also her landlord, came up with the idea as a way to discipline the boy.

Prado claimed that she went along with it because she did not want to cause problems with her living situation.

Department of Children and Families representative Kristi Gray said that the photos were disturbing. The boy and his siblings are in the custody of their grandmother.

Mother chains daughter to makeshift toilet in barn for 1 year causing her flesh to rot

A woman lied to her family, and said that her daughter was taken away by social services.

Now, that daughter was found living in a barn in deplorable conditions.

The mother of Bochnia, Poland, who is mentally disabled, locked her daughter in her barn for a year, causing her flesh to rot.

Family members began to question the mother about the whereabouts of 25-year-old Aneta Pokorskia, who is physically disabled.

They found the daughter chained to a makeshift toilet, which was made of a chair with a hole in the center and a bucket. Part of Aneta’s behind and thighs had rotted.

Aneta suffered from malnutrition and dehydration, and had fleas and frostbites.

The family member who discovered the woman in the barn, said that Mary Pokorskia claimed that her daughter been taken away by social workers a year ago.

The family became concerned when Mary refused to give them the location of her daughter so that they can visit her.

According to police, the mother had locked her daughter in the barn after arguing with family members, who wanted to put her in a care facility.

The daughter was taken to a hospital, where she will undergo extensive rehabilitation.

Police said that the mother cannot be prosecuted because she is mentally ill.

Woman who caught husband cheating with her twin sister dumps them both naked on the street

A woman took revenge against her husband, who she caught cheating with her twin sister.

The 29-years-old woman discovered that her husband was cheating with her twin sister, and decided to bust them in the act.

Ting Su used a mobile phone tracker and traced the pair to a busy mall parking lot. She found her husband Cheng, 30, completely naked in the car with her sister.

After banging on the window several times, the startled lovebirds jumped out of the car without any clothes.

Ting grabbed the opportunity to get revenge. She jumped into the car and drove off, leaving the naked couple in full view of shoppers.

Witness You Meng, 33, said that a lot of people took photos of the naked couple with their phones, and the photos have since gone viral.

Ting has filed for divorce after learning that Cheng and her sister had been having an affair since she gave birth to her twins.

2 kids die after 9-year-old boy took them on joyride

A 9-year-old boy of Mississippi, stole his mother’s car and took his friends on a joyride.

The passengers included 13-year-old twins Breckon and Justin Harrell, and 3-year-old Braydon Traxler.

The young driver, 9-year-old Ty'Jun Thigpen, is fighting for his life after crashing the car that was full of children. Two young passengers died on impact.

3-year-old Traxler and 13-year-old Justin Harrell, died after being ejected when the car slammed into a light pole.

13-year-old Breckon Harrell was treated at a hospital for minor injuries and has since been released.

According to police, 9-year-old Thigpen, known to many as Nemo, took the car keys from his mother without her knowledge. He got behind the wheel and took the other children on the joyride.

During the joyride, Thigpen saw blue lights and tried to avoid the checkpoint set up by the Mississippi Highway Patrol. He veered to the side of the road and continued driving.

When police followed him to investigate as to why he did not stop, the young driver pulled over to the side and crashed into a light pole, causing the incident.

Principal holds students hostage for 5 days

Parents are angry after a school principal held their children hostage for five days, according to the Daily Sun.

Four students were held hostage by their school principal for five days because their parents could not pay their outstanding school fees.

The drama happened at the Martha Beyers Academy KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.

A teacher said that the principal called the fourth grade students into her office and told them that they could not go home because their parents still owed the school some money.

The parents became concerned after their children did not return from school. The parents said that their children did not answer their phone calls, and when they called to the school, they were informed that their children are being held until they pay the outstanding balances.

The parents reported the situation to the education department. However, the manager said that they could not help because it is a private school.

The parents finally went to police to report that their children were being held hostage. Police intervened, and after a five day ordeal, the children were allowed to go home.

Police officers pay for baby formula after father was caught shoplifting

(Scroll down for video) Police were called after a father was caught stealing baby formula, police in New Mexico said.

The 23-year-old man was caught shoplifting on Sunday morning, from Albertsons in Roswell.

He hid the baby formula in the baby carrier, and left the store. Police found that the man stole $80 worth of formula.

The man, who was with his 11-month-old baby, apologized for his actions and told police that he was just trying to feed his child.

The man, who is a single father, told officers that he recently lost his job and did not have the money to feed his baby.

Rather than arresting the father, officers used their own money to pay for the formula, and allowed him to go home and care for his baby.

Officer Joe Mason said that officers decided not to arrest the father. “It is not like he was shoplifting liquor. He didn't have any criminal intent. He just wanted to feed his kid,” Mason said.

Mason said that he and his fellow officers, Anthony Armijo, Chris Bradley, and Arturo Alvarado, decided to help him and paid for the stolen goods.

The Albertsons store manager also agreed not to press charges against the father. They did however, ban him from returning to the store.

People in the community reached out to police and offered to help the father with donations of formula and diapers.
