A man was arrested after trying to sell a stolen gun and handcuffs to an undercover officer.
The man of Florida, tried to sell the gun, which was stolen from a Tampa Police Department vehicle a few months ago, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s office.
28-year-old Ali Muwanga Kiberu of 4951 Whistling Pines Court in Wesley Chapel, was accused of breaking into the police car and stealing some items from it.
Police said that Kiberu tried to sell the undercover officer two pairs of handcuffs, a gun and a GPS, all of which were stolen from the officer’s car.
Kiberu, who a native of Uganda, was booked into the Land O’ Lakes jail, where he was being held on charges related to the sale and possession of marijuana, armed robbery and trade in stolen property. He is being held on $225,000 bail.
