(Scroll down for video) A business woman in California, fled from her office in panic after a snake popped out of a clogged toilet while she was plunging it.

The co-founder of Vertical PR + Marketing, which is located in downtown San Diego, said that at first, she thought her mind was playing tricks on her.

After a few moments, Stephanie Lacsa fled in panic after realizing it was a live snake. Lacsa hates snakes. She ran out of the bathroom, screaming louder than she ever did in her life.

The San Diego Animal Control was called to the scene, and they captured the 5 and a half foot boa constrictor before taking it to a vet.

An Animal Control officer at the scene said that she never saw such a thing in her life. “It is usually the stuff of urban legends,” the officer said.

A snake cannot survive in a sewer system for more than a few days, and this reptile was showing signs of being ill as it began shedding its skin.

It also bit one of its handlers. The snake is not native to the area, and officials believe that it might have been someone’s pet.

However, no one in the area reported a missing snake.
