A woman received a ticket for being kissed while driving.
The woman of Galicia, Spain, was pulled over by police and handed an 80 euro ($95) fine after police claim they saw her boyfriend kissing her while driving.
The woman, Vanesa Vieitez, said that she was surprised and thought it was some sort of a prank.
However, the police of O Carballino, explained that she had been swerving on the road while being kissed and therefore, she was given a fine.
“I could not believe it. I keep wondering if they do not have more important things to do,” Vieitez said.
Officers on the scene justified the fine, saying that the kissing had restricted her ability to drive, but Vieitez disagrees and said that it was not the case.
“My boyfriend had kissed me in the way you kiss your mother. My face and body was not turned to him. I did not do anything strange,” she said.
“He just leaned over and kissed me.” Vieitez added.
When the driver realized that the police were determined to give her a fine, she asked them to specify the reason in writing.
The officer did just that and wrote on the ticket that she had been engaging in affectionate behavior with her passenger while driving.
Vieitez reportedly said that she will appeal the fine.
