A teen was arrested on charges of assault after throwing potatoes at several pedestrians from a moving vehicle, police in the United Kingdom said.
A spokesperson for the Clydebank Community Investigation Unit, said that the 18-year-old man was charged with assault after three incidents in which potatoes were thrown from the car at pedestrians.
In all three incidents, the pedestrians were injured.
A 13-year-old girl suffered severe bruising on her face after the potato was thrown at her while she was walking on Mountblow Road.
Another female victim told investigators that she felt as if she was shot after the raw potato was thrown at her from a moving vehicle around 1:00 a.m.
A 32-year-old female National Health Services (NHS) worker said that she was hit in the head by the raw potato, causing her to collapse outside a pub on Dumbarton Road.
She told police that it felt like being shot with a BB gun. Police said that they are also looking to arrest another suspect in connection with the potato attack.
