A woman arrested on charges of assault after allegedly stabbing her teen son for eating too many pork chops, police in Ohio said.

Dayton Police said that they arrested 57-year-old Yolanda Veasley, after officers were called to the Good Samaritan Hospital, where her 15-year-old son was being treated for stab wounds.

The boy told the officers that his mother attacked him during an argument over food.

A witness who was at the scene of the stabbing, told police that the mother was angry because her son ate three pork chops and then lied about it.

She started throwing knives at her son.

The teenager said that her mother had been drinking, and he was trying to run away from the home because the knives were flying at his face.

The teenager called his aunt, who took him to the hospital.

Police officers who arrived at the home, which is located in the 900 block of Neal Avenue, found a knife in the sink with dried blood on it.

On the kitchen counter was a white towel that was soaked in blood. Vealsey was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of criminal assault.
