(Scroll down for video) A group of robbers who were wearing monkey and gorilla masks, raided a store and stole sneakers, a video uploaded to the Internet showed.

Police in California, have urged the public for information that will lead to the arrest of the two suspects.

The Los Angeles Police Department said that on Thursday around 1:00 p.m., two armed men, one with a monkey mask and the other with a gorilla mask, stole numerous pairs of sneakers from a store in the Fairfax district.

The robbers, both armed, ran into the store, which is located in 7800 block of Melrose Avenue near Fairfax Avenue, and threatened an employee before fleeing in a later model gray four-door Nissan Altima.

They were described as black or Latino, 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 150 to 160 pounds.

One was wearing a monkey mask, gray shirt and blue jeans, while the other was wearing a gorilla mask, red shirt and blue jeans.

Both wore light blue gloves.
