A man was arrested on charges of misusing the emergency telephone system after calling the police and pleasuring himself when male officers answered the phone, police in Thailand said.

Bangkok Police said that they arrested 22-year-old Pitsanu Kohplub, a university student, after being accused of calling the police emergency hotline (191) 529 times in a 30 day period.

During questioning, Kohplub told police that he was under a lot of stress and wanted to ease his pain by calling and pleasuring himself while listening to male police officers.

Kohplub said that he was sorry and promised not to place more phone calls. However, Kohplub is facing a fine of up to 1,000 baht ($30) and / or a jail term of one month.

In November, a homeowner in the United Kingdom, was shocked to find that police busted down his front door. The incident began after London Police reacted quickly when there was silence during a call to 999 (the equivalent to 911 in the U.S.).

After breaking down the front door of the house from where the call was made, the officers caught the culprit behind the call, a cat named Bruce. The kitten was home alone while its owner was at work, and probably wanted a little attention.

While playing with the house phone, the cat managed to contact emergency services. Once police arrived at the flat in London, their fears were heightened by the sound of screams from inside. It turned out that Bruce was struggling with its feline companion Audrey.

After solving the mystery, police waited for James Cocksedge to come home so they could explain what happened.

“Since I had the landline installed, Bruce always is quick to answer the phone when it rings. It is also fascinated by the buttons. It loves to press them,” the 33-year-old man said.

The homeowner now faces a bill of hundreds of dollars for a new front door.

“The police were just doing their job. For all they know, a very dangerous thing was happening inside,” the sound engineer added.
