(Scroll down for video) A girl was arrested on charges of murder after allegedly killing her classmate because she wanted to know how it feels like to cut up a person, police in Japan said.

Nagasaki Police said that they arrested the 16-year-old girl, who cannot be identified because she is a minor, after being accused of killing and dismembering her classmate.

She was charged with murder after a series of psychiatric tests determined that she can be held accountable for her actions.

According to the police investigation, the suspect researched the laws regarding underage criminals in the country before buying a gun and killing her classmate.

The girl’s trial will be held in family court. The girl was accused of killing 15-year-old Aiwa Matsuo. Police discovered her dismembered body in a bed in the suspect’s home.

The teenager confessed to beheading Matsuo, because she wanted to know how it feels like to kill another person. The 53-year-old father of the suspect committed suicide after his daughter beat him with a baseball bat.

Prosecutors said that the girl showed signs of stress after the death of her father, but has shown no remorse for killing her classmate.

The suspect’s mother died of cancer several years ago, and her father married another woman a year later.
