A teen boy was arrested on terrorism charges after allegedly plotting to bomb a crowded train station, police in Austria said.
St. Polten Police said that they arrested the 14-year-old boy who plotted to detonate a bomb at a crowded train station.
The boy went missing last Tuesday, but was found in Vienna on Friday morning.
The suspect identified as Merkan G., was found with a 12-year-old classmate who was reported missing on Wednesday.
Merkan G. is now in police custody, but police said they have no reason to detain the 12-year-old boy, who will be returned to his parents, because there is no evidence that he had any connection with terrorist activities.
The boys were arrested around 7:00 a.m., in a fast food restaurant. This was not the first time that Merkan G. was arrested.
In October, police arrested the boy after learning that he was planning to travel to Syria to join the terrorist group ISIS.
