A man was arrested, charged and convicted of harassment after sending bloody animal organs to a woman because she decided to date another man, prosecutors in Ireland said.

Now, 21-year-old Stephen Nesbitt of Drumfinn Avenue, Ballyfermot, Dublin, was fined 300 euros ($348) after he pleaded guilty to harassment.

The Dublin District Court has also banned Nesbitt from contacting the woman, and the judge warned him to stay away from her home.

According to the police investigation, Nesbitt met the woman at music lessons and thought that the woman was in love with him.

However, when Nesbitt found out that she had a boyfriend, he began to harass her. Over a period of 12 months, Nesbitt sent the woman animal organs with blood.

He also posted 80 stickers on lampposts calling her a “s***,” and sent her threatening messages on Facebook. The court heard that Nesbitt threatened to spray paint her name followed by the words “is a s***.”

The last straw was when he sent a message to the woman, threatening to beat her with a baseball bat and leave a homemade bomb in her garden.

Nesbitt must pay his fine within four months, or he will be sentenced to serve 5 days in prison. He was also placed on probation for 18 months.
