A woman was arrested, charged and convicted of assault after pouring water on her neighbor’s children because there were too noisy, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.

Now, 38-year-old Michelle Dodd of Manchester, was sentenced to probation after being found guilty of three counts of assault.

According to the police investigation, Dodd poured water out of a window and onto her neighbor’s children.

Dodd had a longstanding dispute with neighbor Afshan Iqbal over her noisy children, who were playing outside on a trampoline.

Iqbal told investigators that Dodd poured water at her four young children three times. Dodd denied the allegations, saying that she was just trying to feed her thirsty cat and not assault the children.

Iqbal said that she cannot control her children’s noise because that is what young kids do. Dodd was given 12 months probation and was ordered to pay 280 pounds ($435) in court costs.
