A woman was arrested after taking a taxi to rob a store at gunpoint.
The woman robbed the convenience store in Delaware, at gunpoint and left her 1-year-old daughter waiting in the taxi, police said.
Delaware State Police were called, and were able to track down the driver of the taxi cab. When he was questioned, the driver was shocked to hear that the woman robbed the Wawa in Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, after he dropped her off at 3:00 a.m.
The driver took police to the home where he drooped off Amanda Paoletti, 29, with her baby.
She was arrested and charged with theft and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said that Paoletti was wearing a hoodie when she allegedly demanded money at gunpoint from a 19-year-old employee. She made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and made her getaway in the taxi.
Paoletti is being held at the Delores Baylor Women’s Correctional Institute, on $8,000 bail.
