A teen was arrested on charges of torturing an animal after she allegedly drowned a chicken and threw it at her neighbor’s car, police in Michigan said.

The Argentine Township Police Department said that they have arrested four teenagers and a mother after an alcohol fueled party left a (the) chicken dead.

According to the police investigation, officers were called to a home on Knob Hill Drive, to investigate a complaint of destruction of property.

When police arrived, they met with the owners of the home, who showed them the damage they discovered when they awoke in the morning.

Police found scratches on vehicles, including a threatening message and a torn off mirror. Officers also observed urine and feces on the porch of the house, and a damaged mailbox.

Police found a dead chicken on the hood of a car belonging to a male family member of the house. It appeared that the chicken had been drowned and then stabbed several times before being placed on the car.

A few days later, three 15-year-old girls surrendered to police for their involvement in the incident. They were all arrested, charged, convicted and sentenced.

Later, police arrested 35-year-old Melissa Chavez-Marquez of Linden and another 15-year-old girl.

Chavez-Marquez and the teen girl allegedly went to a store and bought toilet paper, which the police found on the property of the victims.

The 15-year-old girl also faces charges of torturing an animal and destruction of property for drowning the chicken and throwing it at the victim’s car.

Chavez-Marquez of Linden, appeared at the Genesee County District Court, and pleaded not guilty to four charges. She was released after posting $100,000 bail.

If convicted, Chavez-Marquez can face up to four years in prison. The 15-year-old girl appeared in Family Court.
